A Famila - nice little find!

Not sure why this albergue is not listed! Limited to 5 beds (3 singles and a bunk), 2 bathrooms, freezer, coffee machine, kettle, microwave, and towels included for only €20! Handy supermarkets, cafés and patisserie near by (and open on Sundays).

All You need

This place is everything you need after a long day.
Everything is spotlessly clean. Two bathrooms. Kitchen with microwave and capsule coffee machine. There is a shop right next door where they prepare great meals and also have everything you need.

Edgar is a great host. Good communication via WhatsApp

Great stop in Alhandra

I emailed Edgar at hostel A Familia to confirm the hostel was open and to see how the route was after the storms. The response was really quick and very helpful. The hostel was excellent. A great stay after a long walk from Lisbon. Thank you

A Familia - Great place and value!

Alhandra is a bit of a hike from Se de Lisboa, but there aren’t many options in between. Glad I made the trek, as this place was very clean, comfortable, and well appointed. Edgar was flexible to work around my late 8pm arrival and was most welcoming and personable. Great kitchen! Grocery right next door is a super plus. Highly recommended!

Albergue suggestion for Alverca or Alhandra?

Hi all! I will be setting out next week from Lisbon, and wondering if I should (or can) book an albergue in advance for the first day. If so, any suggestions? I didn’t see anything listed on booking.com for Alverca or Verdelha. Thanks!

The bombeiros in Alhandra

The bombeiros in Alhandra have been very friendly and allowed us to stay one night in their previous training room. It is a big room with some mattress on the floor and some extra blankets.
