Pilgrims on the road and friends along the way send me changes every day, and they go out the same day. The Camino de Invierno app carries all of it offline, and it's still being built — new features arrive routinely.
Get the appPoblación de Campos is a small village on the road from Frómista with a bar and an albergue. The Ermita de la Virgen del Socorro, just outside town, has a modest Romanesque apse. The village serves mainly as a junction point — the alternate route to Villalcázar de Sirga via Villovieco branches off here.

No place to get something to drink/eat. Only one vending machine works. At least one can sit outside in a shade.

Word is spreading about the treatment here. Avoid. Maybe they will get the picture eventually.

I am reporting that nothing has changed here; I ordered and paid for tea and went to use the restroom, and the owner stopped me and charged an additional 2 euros to use the restroom on top of my purchase. Don’t go here.

Locals indicated there was not a bus here. Potentially you can verify this. Same for previous town.

Found it really helpful and easy to stop here at the vending machines, water, coffee, fresh juice and a bathroom. Very helpful little stop!

This was a beautiful place to stay on Camino. Owner Carmen is kind and will look after you. Great communal meal, great rooms, and all done with love. A very special place.

We stopped at Bar Arrabal this morning. I've walked 6 Caminos and have never witnessed such rudeness by a host. I understand asking pilgrims to make a purchase or donation to use the WC, but the 2 owners disallowed a pilgrim who paid 2 euro use. Then he chased away all who were resting outside and not purchasing. One pilgrim ordered a orange juice, was told the price was 3 euros, twice the cost elsewhere. She she kindly pushed it back to the owner and left. There is lovely bar at the very end of town!

It costs 8 euros to stay in the municipal albergue. 2 more euros if you want sheets. If you arrive and it is locked you walk to the bar called Los Ciguenos to get a key. The bar is a bit of a walk on but they will register and take payment and give you a key if no one else is staying there yet. Clean. Quiet. You can get a meal at that same bar or possibly elsewhere.

8 Euro per person. No meal. Kitchen. I didn’t stay there but took a look inside. Looked familiar with other municipals🙂

Friendly family staff, clean rooms, pilgrim meal available

3 short km from Fromista is this lovely albergue. Large, clean private rooms with a bath. The dinner was huge and delicious. Well run and worth the stay especially if looking for an “off stage” stay.

Stay in the casa rural in the sleepy little town. Our host were great. Food was hot and good. Bedrooms are clean and shower was hot. You do not want to miss this place. Worth the walk.

I walked through at around 8:30am on a Wednesday and there wasn’t anything open for breakfast.

Second the coffee stop comment. Good coffee, open at 7am, and has groceries.
2. May 2022 - 23:44
If you have 5 minutes, visit the Ermita de Nuestra Senora del Sacorro. It’s 1/2 block from the bridge before you exit the town. Door is unlocked.
2. May 2022 - 10:48
Just as you leave the village there is a coffee stop 1 block to the right. Quite a good cuppa.

Everything closed and public water fountains off
