Pilgrims on the road and friends along the way send me changes every day, and they go out the same day. The Camino Portugués app carries all of it offline, and it's still being built — new features arrive routinely.

Shortly before arriving here you'll have crossed a very old stone bridge — the modern wood decking disguises its age. Locals call it the Puente de la Fiebre (Bridge of Fever) after San Telmo fell ill and died here during his pilgrimage in 1251. A small church marks the spot.
Pay close attention to the following directions. For several years, and even at the time of publication, the route ahead has been the subject of much trouble.
The bridge earned its name from San Telmo's death during his pilgrimage to Santiago. Pedro Gonzalez Telmo was a Dominican friar who abandoned a life of privilege after a humiliating fall from a horse during a parade — an event he interpreted as divine intervention. He spent the rest of his life preaching to sailors and the poor along the Galician coast before dying here on his way to Santiago.

There is a man playing Amazing Grace on his bagpipes just after Ponte des Febres. It was the highlight of today’s walk.

Just past the first cafe coming into village. Lovely stop.

Left Tui in the dark sure we’d find a cafe before we got too far down the road. But the floods have led to re-routing, and one option en route was ‘Cerrado Lunes’ so we pressed on til here. And again, we had to backtrack/detour off-piste to find her. Well worth the added metres to get a piece of pound cake with our cafe.

The signage has greatly improved there are no issues in both these villages. The scenic/complimentary route are now easy to follow as there is a map showing both, the scenic route is about one K longer but well worth it, I did the industrial walk last September in the rain and it was painful

Great rest stop between Valença and Porriño. Limited selection of sandwiches but they seem to be made fresh and were absolutely delicious! Waitress speaks English. They have Mahou and Estrella served with a delicious corn snack. Wi-Fi was good. Definitely stop here!

There is a new looking cafe directly on the Camino called Ponte Das Febres. They have food and a limited pilgrim gear.
