Get the appThe first 1.8km from Gondar are along the paved road. The camino will eventually leave it along a trail to the right. It nears the village of Bascuas 110.2 and then returns to the LU-530. Along this busy road to Lugo you will pass a sign announcing the entrance to Carballido, though you won’t ever see the town which is through the forest to your left. Instead, the camino turns to the right 400m after this sign to resume walking along a country road to the hamlet of As Casas da Viña.

The only water sources in this town are the vending machine or the donativo Oasis. The fountain in town has a sign that says non-potable water.

Passing through Gondar there is only a donitivo comfort station. No accommodations! Follow the the signs on the west end of Gondar to Alburgue Rectoral de Romean run by Fatima. Wonderful oasis worth the 1km walk through a forest track. Tels 982 19 9872 www.rectoralderomean.

Albergue is a little bit of the camino, but paradise, prepared with great love to pilgrims, very welcomming, quiet, equiped, comfort… And absolutely great dinner! Way back to camino is very simply.

I can highly recommend this unlisted Albergue, especially if you're not wanting to do a long 30km into Lugos. Can book through booking.com. communal meal and breakfast are available. A very special place check out the reviews. It's about a 1.5km detour from the track just past Gondor at the 111.686km mark.

Just insite gondar you will find a nice spot to sit, deink and grab a sandwitch from vending machines. There is also coffee.

A very welcome break with soda, snacks, coffee and a toaster oven if you need it.

The covers are still on. A place to stop but not to buy or re supply. And note that all the Fuentes on the stage have notices saying they’re not guaranteed to be sanitary. So, no drinking water refills on this long stage

As of 3rd August 2019 the vendor machines in Gondar are switched off and covered up. Use new cafe in Vikar de Cas before Gondar instead.
