Pilgrims on the road and friends along the way send me changes every day, and they go out the same day. The Camino Portugués app carries all of it offline, and it's still being built — new features arrive routinely.

Fine for what it is

No more bed bugs. Appears they have new covers for all the beds and pillows. One big room. Bunks are pretty flimsy so you really feel when others move. Bedroom doors creaks horribly, so when many people go to the restroom you will hear it all night.
Price 12€ in 2026.

It does the job but expect the bare minimum.

Boat Ride

During winter season there is only one boat running and it requires a minimum of five passengers. The website is www.rutasjuanallo.es. The WhatsApp contact is +34 672659484.

Bed bugs

Blood all over the walls from people killing them. The plastic mattresses are broken. Should’ve known as they diluted the soap in the bathroom , kitchen is filthy

Functional albergue

Slept in overflow upstairs on a mattress for EUR10 - no complaints, you get what you pay for. Host was kind. Small kitchen available for cooking, no outdoor space

Price 12EUR

plenty of beds, the only true public albergue on the route. Check in is at 3pm. Not sure how you are meant to get in - I was lucky and saw someone entering who let me in too

Very basic but glad to have it!

In May 2025 the price was 12€. It's a very basic Albergue, above the communal gym. It has very basic amenities and it is quite tight and crowded when full. The air was pretty stuffy by the morning. They had some sports training going on until roughly 9-10pm, not bad but something you do hear. That being said, I'm really glad about the offer existing! It's well organised and streamlined, and they have plenty of space to take in the increasing number of pilgrims doing the spiritual route. It's a good use of space for the community and I'm thankful for them setting this up.

The receptionist didn’t want to check us in

She said that the albergue is full already (at 12:40! Though it opens at 13), and I saw a lot of empty beds there. And hour later we met three ladies from Portugal and thy helped us to get the beds there. Idk why the reception lady lied to us, but this in not kind! I’m so disappointed! The albergue itself is ok.

30. May 2023 - 8:59

May 2023;

this is a convenient albergue, no outdoor court yard, bathroom is semi communal for men and women, not to fear women, you have the part the door closes on for toilets and shower. However it is located over a gym and a game started at 930 and didn't end until 1130 so if early to bed and a pot sleeper is a problem, you may want to see what is happening in the gym.

A good place to stay

20. September 2021 - 16:35

Sept 2021

This is a great use of an unused meeting room inside the Municipal sports gym. It’s staffed by volunteers so don’t go too hard on them.
It’s not a hotel so don’t expect to be waited on or full amenities, but it’s great value at €8 and possible get yourself and your clothes clean after a day walking along the riverbank from Armenteira.

31. August 2019 - 22:30

Later in August 2019, ok, but

Later in August 2019, ok, but not that nice. No toilet seats, no cooking allowed and cloths drying racks are in the humid bathroom where they dry very slowly. Can get boat tickets from two different companies leaving at very different times.

24. August 2019 - 14:59

as of August 2019 price is 7€

as of August 2019 price is 7€. Alb is very nice.
