We enjoyed our stay there. The owners are so sweet and despite the fact they don’t speak English and we don’t speak Portuguese we somehow had a lovely conversation. The house is very old but that’s what make it so charming. The bathroom was modern and the accommodation was very comfortable. Highly recommend

This is one of my favorite places on any of the three Caminos I’ve walked. The owners are so sweet! The room was clean and comfortable, and breakfast was fresh and plentiful. You will not be disappointed if you choose to stay here!

The Casa Mattos is charming. Beautiful old casa, such a delightful Portuguese couple who own it. Our room is massive a double bed and single bed. Separate sitting area and Large bathroom. The garden is outstanding. There is wifi and breakfast is included. We paid 50Euro for two. If you wish to have a bit of luxury or a change from an albergue do consider Casa Mattos. Easy to find and close to several restaurants and cafes.
