A village at the top of the climb from Lijo. A church and albergue are along the way. Follow road signs for Quintiaes to the left, then leave the road via a gravel track on your right.
Arrows at the end of town, opposite the ‘Restaurante 2000,’ direct you up the stairs and to your right to pass the church and albergue. They eventually bring you back to the road, which you must follow for about 400m. Follow the road signs for Quintiães to the left, and shortly thereafter leave the road along a gravel track on your right.

We had. A pleasant stay at this alburgue, the man who runs the alburgue is extremely pleasant and helpful. He provided me with gauze and medical tape when I injured my ankle. I also left my glasses in this hostel, he found them and kindly coordinated with me to get them back.
has been a good place to stay with even greater staff!

Open right now from 2pm till 9pm. Carlos is really nice and helpful. Everything is clean. You can buy a sheet for 1 euro (to throw when you leave). Nice garden with tables outside. Really calm. A really great albergue !

Nice, newly renovated hostel. Equipped kitchen, laundry machines and dryers (2€ each). They have vending machine and a few things for sale. They’ll order pizzas for you, as well, to have delivered later in the evening. Warm welcome and a nice feel- space makes it easy to cook, eat, hang out, etc. Cold pool out back to soak your feet in, picnic tables and a nice yard/garden make the stay even better. Fantastic deal at €5/ bed.

I just spoke to the new owner of the restaurant, who assures me that it will reopen on June 1 and will provide even better service to pilgrims.

restaurant is still closed as of 8 May. They might be doing a renovation
The next town has some places to eat .
13. April 2024 - 18:51
The restaurant is closed as of 13-April but may open again later in the season. Or perhaps they are closed because it is a Saturday. Nonetheless, the comments about pizza are accurate and other options for food delivery are also available, at the albergue, after 1700.

Waited long to get a coke in the restaurant. But waiter was very friendly. Decided than not to eat there for time reasons. Pilgrim menu costs €10.- not including a
drink or bread. 2 coke and a bottle of water €4.-.

Great hostel. Very modern and clean. We drought paper linen for €1 each extra and we didn’t have a sleeping bag, so they provided us with two blankets each. The man working there, Carlos was absolutely wonderful. Very kind and helpful. There is a kitchen there, washing machine and dryer. Be careful though, the dryer isn’t great and out clothes didn’t dry over night hanging on the rack. They had very basic groceries that we bought.
I would also be mindful that one of the other guests was sitting outside by the church where she caught a man masturbating. Police were informed but apparently he does this over the 10km radius of the area. Especially if you’re a single female traveller, keep your wits about you and be safe.

Great place to stay, friendly host, has washing- and drying machine and good kitchen area.
Across the road is ‘Restaurante 2000’ who serve a good diner.

This restaurant is conveniently located adjacent to the albergue. They have a pilgrim menu for 8e which doesn’t include bread, drinks, or desert. The food was good but the service was poor. The waiter was upset when my wife asked for ketchup for her French fries and slammed down 6 or 8 bottles of every condiment on our table. We asked for the check several times but he would not bring it. Finally we guessed at the bill and started to leave and finally got the bill.Overall to waiter was a arrogant, unhelpful and rude.
