Incredible experience

This was one of our Camino highlights along with Casa Fernanda. Saimon welcomed us so warmly to his oasis, we went for a swim and his and his wife cooked an incredibly delicious meal. He even invited us to take part in a fire ritual ceremony by the water. A truly unforgettable experience. We ended up walking the rest of the camino with the pilgrims we met here and finishing in Santiago together. Don’t miss it!

Finding the Oasis campsite

The Oasis is an absolutist little gem.
It’s 4.5km from Ponte de Lima.
They provide a tent with a mattress, bedding, pillows etc., rustic bathroom with hot water.
The host Nicoletta is Italian and cooks an amazing dinner with pasta, main course, desert, wine and homemade limoncello. The carbonara is a must try.
It’s a very small place where you have dinner as part of the family.

Search for Pescaria - Oasis do Caminho , the restaurant is part of the campsite.

Campsite oasis on Camino route

This is well equipped place to stay and reset in peaceful environment. Nicoletta is very sweet and welcoming Italian lady that communicates/ operates well via google voice translate. Nicoletta also cooks incredibly delicious Italian food and helps with everything to make sure you are ready for next day.

If you like nature and camping do not hesitate to spend a night there!

If you continue for another 2

If you continue for another 2 km from this village, there is a much nicer bar/restaurant with similar prices and they have their own fish farm.
