A home-prepared dinner much better than those found in Portuguese restaurants. An attentive host, it's very clean, pool available. Bath towels… breakfast included for 20 euros. Everything was great, the best place since Porto. Verena is a real sweetheart… only 25km from Ponte De Lima… must-see destination

Even though it was a hot day and no AC at this place, the evening was still very comfortable and cool. Our hostess cooked us a wonderful and delicious communal dinner and breakfast was also provided.

Beautiful garden. Great host who cooks phenomenally (although she’s something of a character with many stories, anecdotes and with a sense moral that is all over😅).

She’s open since 15th of march and I recommend this place! Very nice host and she cooks a great dinner. We had blankets and there’s a hairdryer 🥳! The real Camino feeling 💕

Wir haben hier eine Nacht verbracht und waren mit allem sehr zufrieden. Man merkt, dass Roland selbst Pilger ist, denn er weiß, was wichtig ist. Es ist alles da was man braucht und ein wunderschöner großer Garten. Ich habe mir eine energetische Massage gegönnt, die ich nur empfehlen kann. Schmerzen an der Schulter waren danach verschwunden und ich habe mich die nächsten Tage total fit gefühlt. Außerdem kam während der Massage eine alte Sache hoch, von der ich schon dachte, die ist erledigt. Ich bringe sie jetzt nach Santiago und lasse sie dort.

Die sogenannten „PilgerPause“ ist alles andere, als eine angemessene Pause für erschöpft Pilger*innen. Der Eigentümer Roland gibt sich zwar sehr bemühte, doch anscheinend sind es nur leere Worte.
Die Unterkunft ist sehr klein (ein Raum) und die Möbel mehr schlecht als recht!!!!
Es gibt nur eine Dusche vor Ort. Das Frühstück, welches man bezahlen muss(!!!) läßt viele Wünsche offen.
Alles im ganzen, sind die guten Jahre der „PilgerPause „ leider vorüber!

This place is open and its a wonderful and very clean albergue. If you can't reach it by phone, ring the bell at the door! Costs 15 eur with breakfast included

I was alone here and felt very comfy, calm, and at home on their couch. They’re great hosts- very willing to help! Good breakfast spread, good dinner delivered from a nearby restaurant. I wish all my Camino stays were like Pilgerpause!

Super cozy and clean. Warm, friendly hosts. Incredible breakfast + tea and muffins. Etremely comfortable beds. Peaceful, quiet surroundings.

This was such a cozy place. Loved getting to sit on a couch and relax after a long walk day - towels provided plus free tea and coffee. The local restaurant delivers pilgrim dinner so such a restful stop
