Pilgrims on the road and friends along the way send me changes every day, and they go out the same day. The Vía de la Plata app carries all of it offline, and it's still being built — new features arrive routinely.

Services

Almaden sits in a small flat valley beneath the Sierra Morena mountains. The name comes from the Arabic al-ma'din (the mine) — the Romans extracted marble here, and the quarries were active into the modern era. The town is quiet and unhurried, with basic services.

The 15 km ahead to El Real de la Jara have no fountains — fill up before leaving.

Notice:

The road ahead is another 15km stretch without fountains, stock up in Almaden before setting off.

The Camino:

The camino is well marked through town and quickly returns to rural tracks; it follows a decidedly not straight path to El Real de la Jara as it attempts to go around the peaks rather than over them.

Hôtel El Romeral

Je recommande pour l’accueil, la chambre (55 € pour 2) et le repas (14 €). On peut meilleur marché mais tout ici permet de bien récupérer après la longue étape depuis Castilblanco.

Casa del Reloj

+Nice Hosts, a free drink as warm welcome,Information where not to have dinner( in no place), thick sheet and pillow case, strong Wi-Fi
- not the cleanest one (kitchen), no fan or air condition, lots of noise from the street ( perhaps it was Friday) ,minimized warm water.
Summary: for 10€ just barely ( my opinion)

I will recommend Casa Concha.

I had a very nice stay at Casa Concha. The room was nice, cozy and clean and the staff was very helpful. The room faced a lovely Spanish patio and there was no noise, what so ever.

I would not recommend Casa

I would not recommend Casa Concha being a pilgrim. The building behind the restaurant where the rooms are is very noisy.
