Watch for faded arrows before the gas station directing you left and off the road — this newer route through countryside is much better than the road. The trail can have tall grass in places but is obvious and well-marked. It brings you to the road at the entrance to O Faramello.
NOTE: BEFORE the gas station a set of faded arrows directs you left and away from the road. Going that way takes you through a new route marked out by the local friends of the camino and is a much-preferred option to the road. After turning left keep an eye open for arrows which will turn right onto a grass (sometimes tall) path. This arrow might be a bit faded but the way is obvious, and it turns into a well-worn trail with plenty of arrows. It will bring you right up to the road at the entrance to Faramello.

This place is fantastic for the low price! It’s clean and pretty. There’s a washer, dryer and vending machine right outside the door. It’s directly on the Camino. The rooms are big, bright and airy. The staff are so kind and helpful.

This was a most delightful place to stay before tackling the last stage to Portuguese

Our host Xing prepared a lovely wholesome meal with plenty of fresh vegetables and some Home hade chines dumplings as well as authentic Spanish cheeses olives etc
The best decision ever to break up the last day and take time out to reflect on the eve of finishing Portuguese Way
The room was so comfortable and quiet in this hidden away hamlet

This was a truly lovely place to stay and not far off the route, about 1km west. A beautiful old house, Very well placed for setting off to Santiago the next morning. The house is lovely, rooms very comfortable, atmosphere calm, authentic and welcoming. The hosts are just lovely, and made us a delicious and generous meal with plenty of fresh vegetables. Breakfast was also included. We will really treasure this place as our last night on the Camino.

Nice place to stop and rest. We stopped due to the heavy rains for cover. Enjoyed a nice cup of coffee and tortilla! friendly and welcoming! Buen Camino!

A Nice restaurant to have a small brake. You can get sandwiches or an menu. They have nice soup. The people are really kind.

We had a stop in the cafe A Milagrosa. They were rude, not giving us the same as for locals. Not k8nd, a shame really. Even myself spaking spanish doesnt make any difference. They live on the pilgrims coming in but no respect and total lack of any hospitality

I can highly recommend Pension Residencia Pividal. Big rooms for low prices. I got a single room for 25.-!!
