Pilgrims on the road and friends along the way send me changes every day, and they go out the same day. The Camino Inglés app carries all of it offline, and it's still being built — new features arrive routinely.

The ground behind you: what the walk into Sigüeiro crosses, and where it could have been broken.
Tomorrow from Sigüeiro
Nothing says you have to stop here, or there. These are simply the towns within a comfortable day's walk, so you can decide tonight.

Sigüeiro is the last proper town before Santiago, and it's where you'll want to sort out anything you need before the final stretch. It sits on the Río Tambre, and the bridge across it marks the approach into town.
Basic services: a few bars, restaurants, small shops. The Albergue Camino Real is a large albergue with good facilities including a kitchen. This has been an important stopping point for English Way pilgrims for centuries — close enough to Santiago to allow an early start and arrival for the pilgrim mass.
The town is small and functional, more agricultural than picturesque. But after two days of rural walking with minimal services, a hot meal and a proper bed feel earned.
Sigüeiro has long been the traditional last stop before Santiago on the Camino Inglés. The pilgrim history here is quiet but deep.
Market day — check locally.

** WARNING** if you are walking in the dark or have limited phone use, DO NOT take the route marked yellow on this app [ the left, passing the Church ] ZERO way markers with multiple crossroads, you could easily get lost. I had to walk 4km looking at my phone.
Bad performance from Wise Pilgrim and Xunta Galicia. If two routes are available, then basic information on each should be provided. Zero signage on the way. If the Xunta only want pilgrims to take 1 way, then they should be providing better signage.

Can the app be updated please . Very confusing. The alternative route straight ahead is now the official route . The old official route appears to have no markers but is marked as yellow on the app map.
Can further details be provided before a pilgrim sets out.

We walked from hostel at buscas after 31km day, on to siguero.
The one and only cafe was so soon into the journey for us, we did not stop, assuming there would be another quieter one. There wasn't. It was heaving because of the rain. So missed our stamp too... beware.

A really nice tapas bar, with both delicious food and also a very helpful staff!
We highly recommend the toast with octopus and the tomato salad… but everything looks delicious!

Very 'homey'. Quiet. Mostly single beds. Free washing machine use and tea coffee and muffins.

Great place to stay. Host was super friendly and helpful. She made sure we knew where everything was. Clean place, hot water for shower! Best albergue I’ve stayed in so far.

if you like horrormovie vibes take the original route.
i wanted to walk the 1st variant leading outside of Sigüeiro (yellow line), i wondered why the original way is not signed and only marked here in wise pilgrim. i walk alone as a woman and after passing the church and the cemetery up to a lonely forest trail i felt i am the only pilgrim taking this way. the alternative route (red line) is pretty good marked. but okay, i continued walking the orininal route untill i passed a house that made me stop for a while and figured out that there was something pretty weird and creepy: there was a big dead dog laying in the backyard and chaoticly around him bones and big animal skulls. the house itself didn't really look like it's a completely lost place, i really wondered about what is happening there and suddenly got a really bad gut feeling about this way, i didn't wanna follow it further, so i turned around and went all the way back to the alternative route. if anyone takes this way and can figure out more about that house and it's bones and skulls in the backyard pls feel free to write me. i also can send you pics i took!

We just finished using a laundromat in Siguero and the dryer setting was so high it melted parts of our clothes. The melted pieces stuck
to other items, so lots of damage to our special hiking clothes.

Cost is reasonable and worth it

I would try to skip Sigueiro and rather go directly to Santiago. Sigueiro is already quite expensive and close to Santiago.

Recommended to a group of us at Casa Avelina. Great choice. Warm hosts, very nice albergue with towels/blankets/coffee, and breakfast included for 18€!

I lucked out and found this really clean and new Albergue across from the park/ sports complex as you walk into the city. Includes towels and sheets and at the time of writing, laundry wash and dry is only 3 euro total. Continental / small buffet breakfast is included in 18 euro price.
