Chozas de Abajo sits on the scenic route with a bar that has uncertain hours. Check locally. The village has a quiet, agricultural character that the road-route villages lack.

Walk the extra 50m, the bar has a large and clean toilet, incredibly friendly service and is very cheap. I got a freshly pressed juice with a free tortilla for 2.50. Optional snacks come with drinks, today french toast or three different tortillas. Ahhh so lovely!!

The cafe is slightly off route. Looked closed as we approached, tried the door and found it open. (It does close Mondays). Fabulous little cafe, we were given French toast free of charge 😊

Fantastic home-made tortilla several varieties €2.20 lovely woman running at stop here. Best tortilla so far I went back for seconds it was so good.Real Spanish hospitality because it’s off the beaten track

This place is awesome! Incredible seafood, olive and pepper salad served with bread, coffee and a complimentary slice of cake. Served with a smile. And they have a leave and take library.

It’s well worth walking through town to get to the bar. It’s a lovely spot with great food and drink choices for not much money. The staff are very friendly too. ☺️

Lovely spot providing a welcome break to pilgrims. Excellent tortilla and tea with WiFi, clean restrooms, and a gorgeous covered patio.

Welcomed lunch break. Spicy rice, mixed vegetables (!!), meatballs in BBQ sauce.
Free tapas with our beer: French toast, tortilla. (Wrapping those up for breakfast tomorrow).
The restaurant and bathrooms clean.

Just 50m off the trail, grab a Radler and free sweet or savoury tapas.
Very friendly people and well worth supporting this nice establishment. The outside bar is undercover and many seats.

Agree with the oasis comment earlier. Highly recommend following the ‘bar’ signs to this place in a very sleepy village. Staff are super nice, great patio, good prices. Just the motivation I needed to keep on for another 14km!

After a long walk through nature it feels like coming to an oasis! Very nice staff, decent prices and a choice of excellent free pinchos to choose if you order coffee.

The - only - bar in the village was open in April and the staff were super friendly. Excellent food and drink options. Free Wi-Fi and bathroom. Recommend.
