The Alto de Morga is a large and fairly dangerous highway crossing — traffic comes faster than expected. Once across, the camino heads toward Larrabetzu along country lanes, passing the small Ermita de San Esteban before returning to woodland. The views from the ridge are good on a clear day.

Notice:

Mind the traffic at the Alto, which comes faster than expected.

The Camino:

You will arrive at the Alto at a large and fairly dangerous highway crossing. The way ahead is marked, and you are heading towards the signs marked Larrabetzu. After crossing the highway, turn left at the first junction, uphill. You will pass the small Ermita de San Esteban and return to a woodland setting. The next place with a name is Eskerika, but you would not recognize it for much more than a single building.

Gerekiz alburgue

Great Alburgue. Places to hand wash clothing. They actually have a heater to help clothes dry though it is turned off during the night as it is a gas heater.

€18 extra for dinner and breakfast I'd you want it. It was absolutely delicious and this price included wine.
Clean facilities and really peaceful place

Best ever

The alberge is in a fabulous old building and is clean and comfortable. The owner does all she can to accommodate those that didn’t book. I can attest that the meal is the absolute best. Cooked with love , skill and fresh ingredients
and delicious!

Pozueto - don't belief the reviews

The prices and the reviews for Pozueto are outdated. We payed 13eu for a tent and 6eu for breakfast. Two people that had written confirmation for a room ended up sleeping in a tent. Our email, which was also confirmed was unfindable. We ended up making our own dinner because dinner is apparently only for people in the rooms and not for people staying in the tents, even though they advertise tents. For me, the epitome of cashing in on the camino.
