Scenic view of Trabadelo on the Camino Aragonés
TRABADELO ON BOOKING.COM

Services

Trabadelo sits in the Valcarce valley where the Pradela variant rejoins the main route. The village has a couple of bars, albergues, and a small shop. The Iglesia de San Nicolás has a modest Romanesque doorway.

The valley continues to narrow ahead, and the mountains become more present with each kilometer. The sense of approaching a major landscape change — from Castile to Galicia — builds here.

Casa Susi a must stay

I felt like part of a family at Casa Susi. One of the most comfortable, clean and friendly albuergues. And dinner was one of the best!

Elly's World Kitchen

Cute lunch and dinner place right as you enter town on the North side of the street. Eclectic mix of dishes. I had soup of the day and a caprese salad. Both used veggies from her garden and were served with hardy bread. Everything tasted so good after a long day on the upper alternative trail, and she was very friendly as well. Felt like home for dinner!

Avoid First Cafe Trabadelo

Avoid the First Cafe on right entering Trabadelo, run by Indian Lady most expensive by far €16 for glass of orange juice & very stale tortilla for 2 of us. We have hit & miss through the Camino but this one by far has stayed in our memory as the worst.

Beautiful welcoming couple who cooked an incredible vegetarian meal inspired by ottolenghi feom local ingredients. The casa is a gorgeous love of labor with original 700 year old chestnut timber and a very comfortable snd clean set up wuth just 10 beds, place to hang clothes and a kettle. Special stay tht lived up to its reputation.

Municipal Albergue a must stay!

We were so, so happy we decided to stay here! It’s very clean, spacious, open and airy, with a lovely terrace and bar. The owner is beyond kind and funny. The hamburgers absolutely live up to their hype and you can order anytime. You will be so happy to have stayed here. A Camino highlight for us.

Most delicious cheeseburger!

The most delicious cheeseburger can be found at the municipal Albergue. On rye bread with lettuce, tomato, fried egg, caramelized onions, hamburger patty and cheese…yum!!

Elly’s world Kitchen

We are not vegetarians but had the curry at Elly’s world and loved it ! One of the best meals we have had on the Camino. The owner is originally from the Netherlands and speaks many languages. She is very friendly.

Good stay at Muni albergue

It's clean and very well run. We were able to hold beds via WhatsApp. Bathrooms and kitchen are super clean and the washer came in very handy.

Tip: Don't skip the burger in the cafe/reception attached to the albergue. It's a phenomenal one, served on rye bread.

Parroquial Albergue

This albergue gives a taste of what an original pilgrim stay might have felt like decades ago. An excellent stay overall! Don’t pass this up.

Casa Susi

Do yourself a favor and stay here. The food is incredible, the hosts are friendly and want to have a real deal Camino meal with you, and there are no bunk beds! Just single beds all in the same room. This place is amazing - might be my favorite on the Camino so far, and I’ve been walking since st jean. Stay here!!

Elly’s World Kitchen is awesome

If you’re spending the night here, we’d highly recommend dinner at Elly’s World Kitchen, which is attached to Pensión El Puente Peregrino. We are not vegetarians but the spinach lasagna and the bean burritos were the best meals we’ve had on the Camino. A fantastic place!

Casa Susi is an amazing Albergue in Trabadelo!
Run by an Australian named Susi and per partner who she met on the Camino!
Beautiful single beds, only 12 so nice and quiet, and a heater in the room for when it is cold, a gorgeous garden and terrace looking over the garden and river.
Susi grows all her own produce and each dinner uses fruits and veggies picked fresh every day! One of the best meals I’ve had on the Camino!
Very friendly environment, the communal dinner is so lovely. Susi also knows all the hot tips of places to eat and stay along the way and told me so much about the Camino and the regions which I never knew!
Highly recommend!!
