Pilgrims on the road and friends along the way send me changes every day, and they go out the same day. The Camino Portugués app carries all of it offline, and it's still being built — new features arrive routinely.

The ground behind you: what the walk into Poio crosses, and where it could have been broken.
Tomorrow from Poio
Nothing says you have to stop here, or there. These are simply the towns within a comfortable day's walk, so you can decide tonight.

The Mosteiro de San Xoan de Poio, a massive Benedictine monastery, is the first building in town and impossible to miss. The monastery has been a centre of learning since the 7th century, though the current buildings are mostly 17th and 18th century. Several bars along the descent from the monastery.
The route through town requires care — watch for a narrow path turning upward on your left, just before a small B&B called A Marchanta. From the monastery, the camino descends to the waterfront and a large park before climbing to the main road toward Combarro.
The camino descends from the Monastery and turns right at the bottom of the hill. Mind the traffic here, there are no barriers and not too many arrows. Follow the road to the first crosswalk and turn left to pick up a smaller country road. Here there is one tricky turn. Shortly after crossing the road keep an eye open for a narrow path that turns upward on your left-hand side, it is right before a small B&B called A Marchanta. Follow it upward, then turn right, and then left at the fork onto a small dirt track. This track leads you to the waterfront and a large park which plays host to all manner of celebrations, do not be surprised to find it full of teenagers hungover from a late night of partying or packed full with caravans. The arrows are not bountiful here but keep the water to your left and cross to the far end of the park where a paved road takes you uphill to join the main road. This road is very busy and parked cars make for plenty of blind spots. Keep to the left as best you can and soon you will arrive at Combarro.

A double room costs 62€, it's small but very clean and pretty. A visit to the monastery is included in the price. There is no special pelegrino price as someone mentioned.

Missed the Monestary as I walked past late - may take bus or taxi back to see it due to nice reviews!

This is spectacular. Spend the six euros, pause for a visit, take an hour for prayer and worship. The statues and images of St James, of the Mother of God with the crown of thorns and the three nails, of St Benedict, of St Michael Archangel with his foot on the neck of the dragon will inspire your pilgrimage.

The room was peaceful and comfortable, and the shower was my favorite yet on the Camino! A place of comfort before climbing to Armenteira.

I was surprised the app didn’t suggest the monastery. It is gorgeous and totally worth the 2.50 entrance. It is much better than the monastery in Armenteira.

It's one of the most stunning monasteries I've ever seen, highly recommend a visit.

I walked from Vigo, through the busy streets of Pontevedra across the bridge and up to the Monesterio. I had written to them and they offered me a room at a pilgrim rate that included breakfast.
There is a chapel in the hospederia, Mass at 9 am daily. The high altar is stunning. Daily Mass is at 20:00. After the long walk, I was grateful for food for the journey.
I was received with love and hospitality.
I stayed an additional night in order to spend time at the museum. I learned going into Combarro was not for me. On this journey I am not a tourist, I am a pilgrim. The chapel is open all day and the high altar is open during museum hours. I regret not spending time in adoration. Now that I know better, I will do better.
I’m learning that I am always a pilgrim, now and until I reach my eternal home.
