Pilgrims on the road and friends along the way send me changes every day, and they go out the same day. The Camino Inglés app carries all of it offline, and it's still being built — new features arrive routinely.
Get the appMore appropriately called Playa Magdalena — it's the beach that defines this spot. There's a bar on the right-hand side just before you arrive at the beach, and several more at the far end. On a hot day, the temptation to stop is real.
The beach faces across the estuary toward Pontedeume, and the views of the medieval bridge and the town beyond are excellent from here.
A short distance on, after leaving the beach behind and passing under the railroad, the Camino crosses the bridge into Pontedeume.

I found a room in Alda Cabana Nature Albergue voor €15! Reception was unstaffed but through the intercom I was able to do my checkin, payment znd receive a code to get into the dormitary. Its lovely and very clean. Men’s and women’s bathrooms are separated.

Excellent!!! Server was wonderful. Offered us specials in English. Used our translate app on our phone to communicate. Food was great. Hamburger was combination of beef and pork so be aware of that. Large salad with chicken, avocado and walnuts was very good. Ice cream desserts and chocolate croissant! Very kind to pilgrims.

Do not waste your money at BK 22. Some of the staff were so rude that I felt genuinely uncomfortable. Maybe they don’t like pilgrims, non-Spanish speakers (though I tried and used translate when struggling), or wasting a table on only one person (this never would have previously occurred to me but a restaurant in a nearby town told me they only served food to tables of 5 or more). Honestly, the experience just made me really sad.

Fabulous eco Albergue about 4km before Pontedueme.
Eco lodge forms with lovely dorms, comfy bunks with privacy curtains, charge points etc. washing facilities and well equipped kitchen. Lovely outdoor seating area. I don’t know why this place isn’t full every night, it’s beautiful. The staff are so helpful too.
There is no restaurant or food shops nearby so stock up at the big Gatis approx 1km before Albergue. Highly recommend - you won’t be disappointed!

Sehr neue Anlage direkt am camino.
Das ist eigentlich eine Anlage mit einzelnen Häuschen die man z. B. Als Familie mieten kann, jedoch ist eines davon als Albergue aufgebaut mit ca. 6 sehr gemütlichen Stockbetten mit Vorhang und üppig Platz. Die Duschbereiche sind total sauber und haben sogar kleine Körbchen mit kleinem erste Hilfe Ensemble (Pflaster, Desinfektionsmittel etc.) und einem Fön.
Im Emfangsgebäude gibt es einen Gemeinschaftsraum mit kleiner Eckküche, Sitzgelegenheiten und Getränke- und Snackautomaten.
Waschmaschine und Trockner - je 3€.
