A hamlet where the camino route gets confusing. Two options: the road to Buelna, and a coastal route that's more scenic and safer but harder to find. The arrows for the coastal path are frequently painted over with black paint — look for either a yellow arrow or a suspicious mess of black. The coastal route crosses the railway and follows the shore.
When the camino returns to the N-634 things get a bit confusing. There are two routes here, one that follows the road all the way to Buelna and beyond and an alternative which follows the coastline. The second route is the preferred option for its safety and scenery but it can be difficult to locate.
To follow the coastal route cross the N-634 when you get to it and turn left to follow it towards Buelna. The turn off is almost immediate and the arrows to show the way are frequently covered over with black paint so look for either a yellow arrow or a mess of black paint. To your right is a small path that crosses the railway line. Follow this trail and it will bring you to Buelna.
The turn off is to the left, remember that in Asturias the shell symbols are typically oriented such that the ‘hinge’ of the symbol represents Santiago.
The albergue is down this side road a short distance. Beyond it the camino descends and then turns off to the right, crosses uphill through some forests and then zig-zags back down to the N-634. See notice below.

Had a lovely experience - like being in a home. Dinner was good - vegetarian and the wine was also good. Wanted to add a recent comment confirming the vibe, cost and over quality is Excellent. 18 for bed and breakfast, 10 for dinner.

We are staying there tonight. There are now at least 30 beds. However, upstairs there are 18 beds but only one bathroom (shower and toilet). Downstairs (which is a separate entrance to the building) there are the rest of the beds and two bathrooms (shower and toilet combined).
There was a bit of a queue for the bathroom upstairs so we went downstairs. All well and good. Not quite sure what it’s going to be like in the morning when there are 15-odd people trying to use one toilet and bathroom upstairs.
There is a pilgrim dinner (we didn’t have it) and breakfast is included for 18€.

Addition to my former comment: The host doesn't speak English but with Google Translate everything worked out fine. Vegetarian dinner option available upon request.

I agree with the comments below, Triskel is a nice place with nice owner and reasonable pricing. I think they have 17 beds by now.

Not in this app, but you can find it on Google Maps or in the Buen Camino app. Very good, open until 22h, so you can do a lot of km before. 18€ with breakfast included. Two rooms with 3-3 bunk beds and multiple bathrooms. There is a dinner option for 8€.

Terrific private Abergue in refurbished home. The owner can’t do enough to help pilgrims. Full facilities in a variety of shared rooms. Feels like being at home. Reasonable additional fee for dinner cooked by owner. Self service breakfast is free. Not to be missed ! Nice local restaurant/bar just up the street. Only 12 beds so call ahead

Stayed here and loved it. Very comfortable and stylish space. One room has an en suite bathroom. Sheets are provided. Breakfast is basic and the treatment of pilgrims very hospitable

Stayed here last night - very welcoming, kind hosts. 10 minute walk from the beach, and with an option for dinner (5 euro). Price is 15 and includes breakfast with homemade cake. A nice alternative to the big albergue in colombres. Gracias, Reyes!

Super beds,showers and vegetarian food.

Super, clean, beautiful and new Alberge. 15 €, dinner 5 €. One of the top ones I have been during Camino. Awesome hospitalero. The Alberge which is on the way, like 300 m closer then the Alberge showed on the map. Totally recommended! Oskar, Prague.
