Pilgrims on the road and friends along the way send me changes every day, and they go out the same day. The Camino del Norte app carries all of it offline, and it's still being built — new features arrive routinely.
Get the appIrago de Arriba is the last village before Melide. There's a bar and the sense of anticipation that comes with knowing you're about to join the Camino Frances -- and with it, a dramatic increase in pilgrim traffic. If you've been walking the Primitivo in relative solitude, the change will be noticeable.
Between Irago and Melide there are a number of small villages and urban sprawl. The first bars appear on the road into Melide.

August 2nd 2025, 11 am, bar is open. Cafe con leche 1,40 € with small biscuits.
Quiet but nice host.
Many chairs and tables in shade.

A shame as it would have been nice to have been able to have a coffee at the last bar on the Primitivo. Having arrived, checked the website and opens at 12 midday.
