Pilgrims on the road and friends along the way send me changes every day, and they go out the same day. The Camino del Norte app carries all of it offline, and it's still being built — new features arrive routinely.
Get the appBodenaya doesn't amount to much more than the albergue, but it's a decent albergue and you're welcome to stop for a break. The increasingly rural landscape around here -- chestnut forests, scattered hamlets, cider orchards -- is the Primitivo settling into its character.

One of the best albergues on the Camino. Everything about our stay was positive and inspiring. A real joy. Alison also dispensed a lot of very useful information about what lay ahead of us. Stay if you can.

Very welcoming place. Nice beds and meal. A bit cold at night so roll out your sleeping bag and use a blanket.

The albergue is on a donation basis (you pay what you want/can). The owners will offer you beer, cider, sodas, and water as you settle in. Then, dinner is served (delicious home made food and wine or whatever else you want to drink). At dinner, the group decides at what time we will all get up and breakfast is ready downstairs (also delicious!). Since they only have 11 beds do call ahead to reserve your spot. And, there is WiFi! +34 645 88 89 84

I stayed this week at Bodenaya under the new care of Allison and Alberto, and, as someone who stayed twice before when David and Celia ran it, and who has known Alex, the founder and first hospitalero for many years, I can tell you that this legendary albergue is in great, loving hands. Left feeling incredibly refreshed both physically and spiritually! Remains a must stop on the Primitivo!

Please note that there are 11 beds only, and not 21 beds as indicated in the app. It is very popular so you need to book in advance. Also the phone number is not updated. You will find the correct number at gronze, com

Wonderful stay with David & Celia who looked after us all so well. I was amazed to find a Tranmere Rovers football scarf hanging up and when I talked with David, it turned out that he worked in the town where my father's family came from. Staying here felt like staying with family.

Agree with all the other wonderful comments. Warm, comfortable, homely place. Kindest host David will make you feel like family by the time you leave!

This is a brilliant little albergue with fabulous hosts. Small rooms with just two or three beds and dinner/breakfast provided. You won’t be disappointed
