Pilgrims on the road and friends along the way send me changes every day, and they go out the same day. The Camino de Invierno app carries all of it offline, and it's still being built — new features arrive routinely.
Get the appThe bridge here once posed a serious threat to pilgrims when the river ran high, and as a result the town became home to several pilgrim hospices. The current bridge is long and multi-arched, spanning a broad riverbed that floods impressively in spring.
A couple of bars and basic services are available.
As you leave Puente de Villarente, watch for arrows pointing you along a trail to the right, up a small hill toward Arcahueja. It's fairly well-marked but follows a service road that's often lined with parked trucks and can be disorienting.

Great place to stop for a hearty breakfast. Affordable, generous portions, friendly service. Opens at 7am, so great schedule for pilgrims headed to León.

We stayed here to avoid
crowds but it isn’t a village but a small town not catering to pilgrims, not pleasant.

For 15€ you get a nice hall way and garden, but the rooms are cramped, there is no kitchen and everything here is just expensive.
Also the lady is quite rude and not very helpfull. If there were more options in this town, I would go elsewhere

Not much in the town for pilgrims. Horno Rústico had delicious pastries, but no stamp.
