Pilgrims on the road and friends along the way send me changes every day, and they go out the same day. The Camino Portugués app carries all of it offline, and it's still being built — new features arrive routinely.

A quiet village known for two things: Roman ruins and cheese. The Villa Romana do Rabaçal lies about 800 m north of town — a worthwhile afternoon detour if you're staying overnight. The excavated villa preserves excellent mosaic floors and the foundations of a 4th-century country estate.
Queijo Rabaçal, a small, firm cheese made from a blend of sheep's and goat's milk, has a protected designation of origin (DOP). You can find it at local shops and it travels well in a backpack.
There are no services for the next 11 km to Conimbriga — stock up here, even if you have to do it the night before.

Keep on out of town along the road and turn right where indicated in the direction of the Castelo de Germanelo. A turn to the left appears 900m down this road. Turn there and follow a well-marked set of trails all the way to Zambujal.

Casa da Lima was great, private and comfy beds (+351 912 972 243) weken couldn’t walk more because of the heat. Temos reached 39 degrees! The owner took care of all and was very helpful. She called the taxi, which was the man from Rabacal. He brought us to next stage the following morning.

We had a wonderful stay here. The room was great, we took the private room. We had dinner in the restaurant and enjoyed some of the local produce. The pool was an added bonus after a hot day. Highly recommend.

Great hostel with new beds, bathrooms and a nice small pool, which is a blessing after a long walk. The O Bonito coffee shop had a great homemade vegetables soup and many local cheeses and sausages to buy and eat there or take with you.

We got to stay in their new upstairs area. It was the best shower the Camino! We also had a great $7 pilgrim meal at their restaurant a few blocks down. Get the meat rather than the fish.

Albergue Bonito has a small wading pool that is great after a long hike. Very comfy place with good meal.
