Albergue de Peregrinos São João dos Caminhos

It is a bare bones municipal albergue. They provide paper sheets, but nothing else.
It is nice and clean and has a washer and dryer.

€60 for a very basic twin room, expensive compared to some other private rooms we stayed in. Included breakfast in a cafe nearby. Good location, just off the camino and close to restaurants and shops.

After a few nights staying in dormitories I decided to share a private twin room with another pilgrim I became friends with. It was such a lovely treat after a few nights of poor sleep! We had towels, cotton sheets, private bathroom and body wash. The shower was lovely and hot. No cooking facilities available, only a microwave. Has a courtyard for people to sit in to socialise and eat in. Washing machine available but no direct sunlight for the items you hang to dry. €60 for the room, so €30 per person. Breakfast was included in the price and it's at the bakery around the corner.

For €15 a night I wish the bathrooms had hand soap and the toilet stalls had enough toilet paper to last thought the night...

There were a lot of beds. More than we anticipated, which was a nice suprise.

Now €15. Lots of beds, fairly spaced out and in all sorts of room sizes, with no bunk beds. You’re given a paper sheet and pillow cover. Kitchen is a kitchenette, so can’t really cook a proper meal, but there’s a supermarket and lots of restaurants nearby. Large spaces and options for washing machines by fee or hand washing. Bathrooms are good and clean. Also close to the river area (popular with locals) down from the bridge for a nice cold swim if you need one.

It may be due to the room I was assigned but it is excessively hot, with all windows open. Sun blasting through minimalistic shades with no air movement. Might be cheap but not sure it’s worth the savings after a hard day

just over the bridge. 15€ for a space in the dorm. Large room with plenty of space, power points, all beds at ground level. No blankets or towels and kitchenette rather than full kitchen facilities but large dining area with space to hand wash your clothes. There is also 1 washing machine and dryer. Seems like the kind of place that would stay cool in summer.

Non si può prenotare, ma la struttura ha circa una sessantina di posti, quindi è difficile restare fuori anche arrivando tardi. Non forniscono lenzuola o asciugamani, ma il posto è molto bello e pulito. Soddisfatti.

The albergue is open, €12/night, check in from 2 pm, you only get the bed and single-use paper sheets, so sleeping bag needed.

Open - stayed August 31. Ten euro, with covid measures in place (sheets and pillow case only, towel supplied, no community facilities such as kitchen available). Reception open from 3pm to 8pm, and gates to get back in at night are closed at 10pm. Right next to the church - a former convent or some such.

The price is 17€/night. The albergue looks like and old socialism hotel from 1985 :(

Made a reservation which was valid until 4pm. The multi-bed room (6€) got mattresses on the floor, not clean! Ants all around. The double rooms are perfectly nice, with an own bathroom. There’s a cooking area and space for washed clothes.

Very kind Carmelite brothers at the albergue: they put down extra mattresses on the floor to cope with the extra pilgrims and were so kind and friendly. May God bless them!

Youth hostel is at this location (not albergue as previously stated) €12.50 includes breakfast. Good and clean

The albergue is actually located at the Carmelita church, close to the street coming from the bridge. It is NOT the location that is provided in this map here, instead you only find the youth hostel.
Price is 6€, facilities are good.
