A place to linger

Casa Rual and Hostel. A wonderful place to rest after a long day. The dormitory and sanitary facilities are clean and well-maintained, and overall the place has a great atmosphere. In front of and beside the house there is a large courtyard and a spacious meadow with plenty of seating where you can relax wonderfully. For little money you can buy drinks. In the evening there was a delicious pilgrim menu.

Stay here!

Agree with all the positive comments. Very friendly and gregarious host; large lawn, and open outdoor space around the hotel. The room was large and clean. Dinner was offered, cooked right there on site. Excellent food excellent wine.. probably one of the nicest places I will stay on the del Norte. You will need cash to pay for food and wine.👍🏻👍🏻

Super albergue and casa rural

This was one of the best places to stay on del Norte. The hosts are funny, helpful and kind. The food was delicious. Beds are comfortable. If you get a chance stay here.

Casa rural albergue.

Yes absolutely agree with all the positive comments. Double room and bathroom, so clean and comfortable and quiet, which meant we got a full nights sleep. Dinner available or just picnic (we went to local shop and had our own picnic dinner). Yes a steep climb but worth the warm welcome. However would gladly have stayed at the Monastery but we needed sleep in preparation for a long by beautiful walk to Guernica.

A recommander

The dormitory on the first floor is clean, the sanitary facilities are on the ground floor. There is a garden for those who arrive early. The meal was good. I received a warm welcome.

Lovely place

Sweet host, delicious food , loungers looking at the mountains and a cute dog. What’s not to love?

Great accommodation and food!

A truly wonderful stay at this Casa Rural. The house is beautiful, the room is big and clean, beds have actual blankets and pillow cases, the food was delicious (choice of fish, pork or chicken) and the owners were really nice. Definitely recommended!

A wonderful place to stay

The hosts are terrifically kind, the dorm is clean and comfortable, the food is good, the send off is warm, and the view is beautiful!

Not open in Nov 2024

Sad to miss this great albergue which is closed for the season since 1st Nov. Had to walk further (7.5km) to the monastery which was very welcoming and had everything one needs (little shop for snacks, but not a real supermarket, but they offer vegetarian dinner and breakfast).

17. September 2024 - 7:24

Amazing, but not open til 2.30

Lovely albergue, only 900m off camino. The private rooms are great. The pilgrims dinner had a lovely veggie option including vegetables picked fresh from the garden! Lovely garden to relax in the sun. The t dry inner is 7.30 so bring snacks if you arrive early!

Just note that the clock here is wrong and it only opens at 2.30.

The best place to stay

This is my fourth night on Camino and the best place to stay so far. Not very crowded by the way. A lot of free beds even now at the end of July. Good dinner. Comfortable stay.

26. July 2024 - 22:42

Perfect pilgrim stay

By far this has been the best albergue to stay at!
Super clean, the hosts are wonderful and speak english as well.
Dinner was very nourishing- pasta as an appetizer, chicken/fish/vegetables witj fries and a salad and icecream- just what you need after a long day of hiking!
They even let us use their washing and drying machine!
The garden and the view is also breathtaking!

Great!

Loved this place. Great meal and lovely garden. Others said it’s hike out of town but it’s literally 5 minutes walking so absolutely fine. Meal was delicious!

30. June 2024 - 21:16

HIGHLY recommend

I loved it here! Very nice and welcoming hosts. The garden is awesome on sunny day for rest. Very good dinner: starter pasta, meat with french fries and salad and ice cream as a dessert.

They have buckets in which you can wash your clothes, when I asked for hairdryer I got one.

Clean and nice interior.

I would definitely stayed here again!!

8. June 2024 - 13:09

Inconvenient

I would push past this out-of-the way rural hostel. The additional, steep kilometres after a gruelling walk are unnecessary when one can access amazing accommodation at the monastery just a few kilometres further, right on the path of the Camino.

WHAT A GREAT PLACE TO STAY ON “CAMINO”

Very friendly, very quiet. The family who runs the place is super-super !
Even the dinner was cooked very well done for my wife who is vegetarian, gluten and lactose intolerant !!!!
The room was very clean. Our clothes were washed.
EVERYTHING PERFECT !

2. May 2024 - 15:44

Great place

Great beds with a real duvet. Dinner was 3 course meal, with a very nice and delicious vegetarian option (not eggs, but fried vegetables!). Breakfast was 2 slices of bread, a croissant and coffee/tea, so not very fulfilling. Garden was lovely and the whole house is just very cozy.
We stayed end of April, and the place didn’t get filled up.
