Camino del Norte app

Pilgrims on the road and friends along the way send me changes every day, and they go out the same day. The Camino del Norte app carries all of it offline, and it's still being built — new features arrive routinely.

Islares campground

Apps say there are only 10 beds but that’s wrong there are 6 tents with 5 beds each and 4 cabins with 2 beds each. It was a nice change of pace from crowded hostels. Bathrooms were new and super clean and there is a bar restaurant and store. Nice place to stay

Very good choice!

Stayed in a 2 bed cabin close to the entrance.
Cabin has even heaters!!

Rather a quiet experience since there were no other pilgrims.

The camping restaurant has nice food and a little shop with all necessary stuff.
The staff was very helpful with telling us the times if the low tide in order to cross over to the next beach and save some Camino along the road.

Very good place to stay

We stayed in a tent with five beds.
It was very good.
Clean showers and toilets a bar/restaurant and a small shop.
Very nice stay.

Sept 22

Accommodation in Sept was a tin cabin which fit 2 people. Has light, plug in heater, and 1 plug socket. Wouldn't rely on "supermarket" or bar for food of possible. 15 euro for a pilgrim stay.

The receptionist told me the campsite would close for the winter next week.

Quaint place to stay, really close to the beach!

Clean and well-organised.

Consider elsewhere

If you will be staying in the pilgrim tents here, I would consider going elsewhere. The cots are particularly uncomfortable. The shop does not have much, expect to be paying for the “convenience”. The bathrooms are actually very clean though, and they have laundry facilities including nice wash sinks.

They have about 4 tenta for piligrims, 5 beds in each. Camping is nice, wish Shop and restaurants. But tents are tiny. Good for Hot days :)

They have 2 small cabins with

They have 2 small cabins with 2 beds each for pilgrims. You even get a small heater, so it's nice and warm in the night. Camping has a restaurant, cafeteria and little supermarket. Recommendable!
