Pilgrims on the road and friends along the way send me changes every day, and they go out the same day. The Vía de la Plata app carries all of it offline, and it's still being built — new features arrive routinely.

The owner was polite, gave us information on the local area to include a free map, and made sure we were well taken care of. The albergue itself was extremely clean. The room we stayed in only had about 12 other pilgrims and every bunk bed had a charging station. The bathrooms and showers had no mold, which was a pleasant surprise. I would highly recommend staying the night.

We arrived late in the evening after an airport fiasco with flight cancelations, canceling our train tickets and finally hiring a private car to get us there. The place was clean and had ample sleeping space. The fellow who checked us in was very understanding of my poor Spanish skills and got us all settled in. It's the typical bunk bed dormitory style. They did have cotton sheets and pillow cases. The matresses were very firm and to my liking. We ended up in a dormitory for 8 by ourselves. The beds and bathrooms were clean.

Hospitalero is a grump. He needs some serious customer service training. The albergue is big and clean. Only 5 of us stayed for the night. I noticed there were a lot of pilgrims staying in Sarria. Maybe they knew something we didn’t about the place and the owner. Wouldn’t stay here again if I were to stay in this town in the future.

This was my original first choice, but once arrived it wasn’t opened. This was on a Sunday in January
