Albergue La Parada

The albergue is bright and pleasant with options for bunks or just a single bed. The owners go out of their way to assist you in any way. The pilgrim meal was excellent and at a reasonable price.
I would absolutely stay here again for both the price, cleanliness and atmosphere

I cannot recommend Albergue La Parada highly enough! The hosts truly made us feel like we were part of their family while we were here. Clean bathrooms, large showers, and disposable sheets included. Delicious food on site in a town where options aren’t plentiful, too. Skip Mansilla and stay here 💕

Our private room was gorgeous and the hosts were determined to take wonderful care of everyone. The pilgrim dinner was delicious and lively.

What a lovely place. It has everything a pilgrim needs, it spacious and clean and has a nice internal patio. The owners are very nice and helpful.

Debi and her husband are super friendly, very funny when you get to know them. She likes to joke a lot with guests and they are so friendly. Good food in the bar — great space for cooking and washing. Highly recommend! Verrrrry clean!!! Pilgrim meal was lovely.

I have found the hosts to be very friendly even through the language difficulties. They worked hard to make it work. The place is a great place to stay

This was my first bad experience of the comino. The attitude of the staff, and not welcoming was beeing more than I accepted. Luckily I got my money back, and got a room in the albergue just beside. Please stay somewhere else of you can…

Arrived here after walking in rain for several hours. I was greeted well, a young man took my bag up to 3rd floor for me. Large open clean, airy, light room with single beds spread out. Blankets provided.

Bathrooms are large and clean.

Food is adequate.

If language is a barrier, use a translate app.
And don't forget to smile.

I would recommend this albergue!

Stay clear.
I had a booking confirmed over email. Don’t be fooled by the niceties.
Once there they feigned not knowing anything about it, then confessed they knew my booking.
Told me - no , you have no booking!
Good riddance.
The universe did me a favour, walked out of this dusty nowhere into the next town.

The young man with the ponytail that welcomed us , was kind , friendly and helpful. Basically he is the best thing this Albergue has . The food was good , but the female staff member was rude and intolerant of the Pilgrims. Her attitude is appalling . The Albergue is very clean, great bathrooms and lovely courtyard.

1 person is trying to be the receptionist, the cook, the waitress and the bartender at the same time.
Being understaffed can happen, no problem, simply ask for understanding and you will have it. But rudeness does not work like a lubricant.
Waited for 15 minutes twice and decided to leave. When I wrote an email explaining my disappointment, I was served with more rudeness.
First bad experience in 4 weeks on the camino, there is a first for everything I guess 😃

Great service, location and hospitable. However the day was freezing cold and was advised there were no heating.
This is one of many places I’ve stayed at where there was no heating and the heater was in the room.
Not sure if it’s their way of saving on costs, however, it should be part of the price.
