Pilgrims on the road and friends along the way send me changes every day, and they go out the same day. The Camino del Norte app carries all of it offline, and it's still being built — new features arrive routinely.

Elena, una mamma sul Cammino

We were guests of Elena, her husband, and her sister. My 14-year-old daughter and I were welcomed in a way that had never happened to me in all my time on the Camino. Arriving in a heavy downpour, Elena didn't insist on check-in right away. She wanted us to take a hot shower and immediately helped dry our shoes. She also took all our wet and dirty things and returned them clean and dry within 2 hours. We didn't have to ask for anything. She did it all herself, accompanied by her beautiful smile. At dinner, she spoke with each of us together and gave truly valuable directions for the next day. I recommend her to you with all my heart. Thank you for everything Elena!

La Reguera Is A HIT — BULLSEYE!

La Reguera is truly a special stop along the Camino, and one you don’t want to miss on the way to Luarca. Here, dinner and breakfast are lovingly served, and your day clothes are even washed for you—all for a donativo.

Elena also provides guidance for the next day’s trail, making your journey easier and more enjoyable. A Dia supermarket is nearby in town, and there’s even a path leading from the albergue to the beach.

La Reguera is the perfect place to rest and recover, made unforgettable by the warmth and care of its host, Elena.

La Reguera is wonderful!

Elena is a wonderful hostess, the dinner and breakfast was simple, yet very good and filling. The facility was very clean. Elena educated on the two Norte routes and sent pilgrims off with a hug. I would stay at La Reguera again.

Great place

La Reguera is a lovely place to stay. Opens from 3pm with Elena offering dinner while washing and drying everyone’s clothes. Her wake up call at 6.45, breakfast at 7am and farewell hug are such a beautiful way to start the day. Thank you Elena.

A perfect Camino experience

I highly recommend staying at La Reguera. The owners of this donativo have the Camino spirit. They do the pilgrims’ laundry and provide a delicious community dinner and breakfast. Very clean and neat.

Warm hearted hospitaleros

This lovely donativo is a wonderful place to stay. The beds are very comfortable. The hosts wash and dry the clothes you wore that day. Super nice. Good pilgrim atmosphere. Meal very simple but delicious. Lentil soup salad, bread and yogurt. Everyone went to bed full and the breakfast was freshly made coffee, teas or cocoa, cereals toast and jam. You leave with a warm hug.

Best albergue ever!!

This is my favorite albergue on the Camino! It’s like visiting a welcoming family. It’s intimate with only 11 beds and Elena prepares a wonderful dinner and breakfast. It’s just a bit off the path but with a relaxing garden and food on site you don’t need to go anywhere!

Fabulous accommodations. Fabulous service. Fabulous caring.

I am reflecting on my camino journey from last year.
1 year ago today I arrived at this albergue, feeling so welcomed. It's peaceful and lovely and has great energy. Elena did my laundry and joined us for the fabulous dinner she made. It was like coming home to caring and support. The rooms and space were just right. There were extra blankets. And at dinner we chatted about the lessons of the Camino and how we each have our own journey.
This was a very needed experience while moving forward. So grateful.

Excellent

This place was one of my best Camino experiences. Elena is a lovely host. Community dinner and breakfast with fruits from the garden. Great conversations and few beds in one room. A clean place with a great shower. I hope people give appropriate donation so this place can be a stay for many more pilgrims.

Such a cute albergue! Only 300m off the camino. Rooms are a bit cramped, but you won’t care. Elena and Jacin are the most lovely hospitaleros. They serve dinner (soup + pastasalad) and breakfast and do your laundry. All for donativo. Go here!
