Camino del Norte app

Pilgrims on the road and friends along the way send me changes every day, and they go out the same day. The Camino del Norte app carries all of it offline, and it's still being built — new features arrive routinely.

Albergue open

An update on the other comments here, writing Sept 11 2026, the Albergue is open, though not a bad idea to call in advance

Albergue Abandoned

Albergue no longer in operation, however there are many options in town to stay!

26. June 2025 - 14:07

Does not seem to exist anymore

Tried stopping here June 2025 and it is overrun by weeds and seems to be abandoned… We tried making a reservation using the What’s App number and got no reply, when we showed up it didn’t appear to be in operation. We ended up staying at a private apartment instead, lots of options with cheaper prices for pilgrims.

Albergue has been updated in the last year. There is still only one bathroom and a minimal kitchen (fridge, microwave, and kettle). There’s no WiFi, washer or dryer, but there is a new centrifuge. Only 12 beds but multiple tents available and you can always pitch your own tent. Highlight of the stay was the hospitalera -Mayte! She was really kind, helpful, and knowledgeable with advice of where to stay depending on the distance that you’re comfortable walking. She also posts her number for pilgrims to make herself available for whenever you arrive.
