Scenic view of Vilaserío on the Camino to Finisterre and Muxía

Camino to Finisterre and Muxía App

Pilgrims on the road and friends along the way send me changes every day, and they go out the same day. The Camino to Finisterre and Muxía app carries all of it offline, and it's still being built — new features arrive routinely.

Services

If you arrived via the forest trail, turn right to find the bar, the albergues, and the camino. If you missed that turn and stayed on the road, turn left and head into town a short distance.

The bar here is open daily and provides excellent service to pilgrims -- WiFi, clean bathrooms, and a warm welcome. Recommended. The municipal albergue is outside town on the main road.

The Camino:

The camino leaves town along the road. If you stopped at the bar, take the steps down and behind it and turn right then left on the road. You will follow that road all the way to Cornado.

Casa Vella

A small snack and drink spot but also has an albergue with a community meal. Feels like home.

Last real village for a while

There is literally nothing after Villaserio before you reach Santa Mariña. Well, there is a small vending machine and drinking water in the next village. That's all. Just fields, roads and cows until Santa Mariña. Plan accordingly.

Bar and Pension

Bar is open all day but kitchen has quite limited hours. Lovely staff, excellent food, pilgrim's menu for 13 euros. If the albergue(s) is full or you want a break for the night, you can get a private double room in their very cozy pension with ensuite for 67 euros. Check in is at the bar.

Bar A Nosa Casa near Pensione O Rueiro

Excellent hearty breakfast. Bacon mostly meat surprisingly thick. I recommend stopping here on your way to Finisterre or Muxia.

Casa Vella

Only had a stop for a coffee at Casa Vella, but would’ve loved to spend the night! Very kind people, and a beautiful house with garden, a real oasis!

Fantastic Albergue

The family running this Albergue are very friendly and keep the place absolutely spotless.

There is a nice outdoor area to sit and the meals are superb.

One of our favourite albergues since SJPP.

Herminio Bar

The food here is excellent, stopped for a Bacon y Queso Bocadillo and a Cafe con Leche, both were delicious. The bar itself is a cozy little place, and the owners were very cordial. Charged my phone while I ate there as well. Would recommend, 10/10
