Pilgrims on the road and friends along the way send me changes every day, and they go out the same day. The Camino Francés app carries all of it offline, and it's still being built — new features arrive routinely.

A pair of bars and a restaurant (La Esquipa) — packed with pilgrims every day but Monday when it's closed. The camino rejoins the road here and crosses it several times between Salceda and Santiago. The speed of traffic, blind curves, and density of pilgrims make this the most dangerous stretch on the Francés. Cross carefully.
The camino rejoins the road in Salceda, and while it does not walk on the road it does remain quite close. In fact, the camino crosses the road several times between here and Santiago. The speed of traffic, the curves in the road, and the abundance of pilgrims makes this the most dangerous stretch along the camino. Cross carefully and quickly and always under the road when possible.
The camino leaves town to the right of a wedge shaped park next to La Esquipa, not along the road.

The Bar Tasaga which is located in the end of Salceda is very pilgrim unfriendly! In 6 Caminos I have never seen a place which was treating pilgrims as rude as these people. The lady was very annoyed, started shouting for no apparent reason and made fun of me behind my back thinking I wouldn’t speak Spanish.
The prices are outrageous.
Use one of the two bars in the beginning of Salceda! :)

Not much to the town. This was our last stop before the finish. Clean, great shower and a good rest for the final day. Dinner and breakfast available.

An oasis of light. Clean, comfy, great shower and hair dryer too! Wonderful staff and food. Filtered air was a big help for my allergies after a long day. The view from my room was an extra gift.
