This app says that Olivia de Plasencia is only 3.5km from the junction at Ventaquemada, but it’s actually 7km along an unshaded road

ATM is available in this little town, and the only bar offers good food at a very reasonable price. I stayed in Albergue San Blas at €22 including breakfast.

35 euros for a double room, shared with a fellow pilgrim. It is 7 km from the route, but we hitchhiked and got a ride very fast. CasaRural Via Caparra is EXCELLENT

Three of us, myself and two Spaniards could find no accomodation open in Olivia de Plasencia and everyone in the town directed us to walk a further 5km to a welcoming “Hostal-restaurante El Avion Tel:652 779 448
My recommendation is to avoid Olivia de Plasencia
