Pilgrims on the road and friends along the way send me changes every day, and they go out the same day. The Vía de la Plata app carries all of it offline, and it's still being built — new features arrive routinely.

The ground behind you: what the walk into Guillena crosses, and where it could have been broken.
Tomorrow from Guillena
Nothing says you have to stop here, or there. These are simply the towns within a comfortable day's walk, so you can decide tonight.

A modest town that's been on maps for as long as maps have existed. Most services and the private albergue are along the main road. The municipal albergue is next to the swimming pools — a welcome sight in the Andalusian heat.
The private albergue Luz del Camino is on the main road about 50m past the turn mentioned below.
At the start of town laminated signs take you off of the main road. The Camino follows the Calle Real past the Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de Granada and eventually to the municipal albergue. If you miss those signs, or if you prefer to stay at the private albergue located on the main road, skip that turn. There are more arrows further up the road which will bring you to the municipal albergue.
Both the camino and the road will eventually cross the Río Huelva at which point the camino follows beside the road all the way to the first roundabout. Here, turn left towards the gas station to cross through a small industrial park. The camino returns to the groves for a quiet walk through the countryside.
Shortly before Castilblanco de los Arroyos the camino rejoins the main road. At the entrance to Castilblanco there are two options. To the right the camino follows the main road through town, passing a gas station, the municipal albergue, and several restaurants before leaving town along the road. To the left the camino goes through town along cobbled lanes, passing several bars and the church before rejoining the road out of town.

The old Roman road north of Seville (C. Titanio) was quite badly flooded around Rio de los Frailles on Weds 11 Feb. I don’t know about the alternative route just to the east (following the river), hut it looked less elevated so I would guess it was flooded too. I ended up walking along the motorway for around 12km to Guillena - not much fun.

A few kms from Guillena, there's a small roundabout, with petrol station nearby. Turn left here, it's not signed very well.we missed it and walked a kilometre before we realised.

Really clean. Our room in the back was really quiet on a Saturday night. The only drawback is not having an outside window. No coffee maker. Good heater. Decent beds. Great value €42 (can pay with card). It was sold out by 5pm on a Saturday night in early March location in the centre of town.

Une bonne adresse pour qui veut passer une bonne nuit tranquille. Chambre propre et calme que j'occupais seule. 25€.
Le bar-resto propose un menu pèlerin à 8€(entrée plat dessert) .

Stayed there for a night and foolishly walked off without my walking poles. Ever so grateful, that Pilar went extra mile to reunite me with my poles. I made 30 km today with them and couldn't be more happier. If you are looking to experience the Camino spirit, look no further

The place was clean. Separate rooms for men and women. I don’t recommend to get a breakfast here. It’s basically bread with jam and instant coffee.

Six bed room but am the only one so far. Nice kitchen facilities with free tea and coffee, muffin and juice. Nice roof top area for hand wash laundry and drying. Nice hot shower. A happy welcome for a pilgrim. A mini market just 10m away across the road. About 100-150m away from restaurant serving del dia menu for €8.

If you arrive early in the afternoon, most of the town will be closed for siesta. Perhaps you want something to eat or a cold drink. Near the north end of town, along the main road that you walked in on is Hostal. At Frances which stays open and may have food available. A few hundred meters further, on the opposite side of the road, is a fully stocked (and air conditioned) grocery store where you can purchase supplies for the next day’s lunch or for a quick snack before dinner.
