Nice laid back Albergue. Plenty of beds. Has a supply of food and drinks that you can buy.

I messaged them through WhatsApp and they're temporarily closed for minor works, they recommended Pedro de Rozados as alternative stop.

The telephone number is NOT as written above but: 722 755 712. Not sure if it's possible to book ahead? Registraton and payment is done in the grocery store ( tienda) a few hundred meters away: Ultramarinos. Nice place. Very basic kitchen with only a microwave for heating.

The host is very kind. It's basic, but comfy. There are electric heaters. Very clean place. Good beds. Would recommend this one, in stead of the albergue in San Pedro.

The albergue municipal consists of two buildings, the main one next to the town hall and a secondary one closer to the church. The main one seems to be closed as I got sent to the second one which is very basic with just a microwave and fridge and hot water in the shower and wash basins. No facilities for cooking and the building isn’t heated. There is one small oil filled electric radiator upstairs in the sleeping area so tonight will be a cold one. Fortunately I have a very good sleeping bag!

We we’re not lucky. It was a rainy day. It was cold and there was no warm water. Nobody took a shower….
The bed’s were ok.

Yes, this Albergue is open, 24 beds, clean and comfortable - fresh linen - no kitchen as such but a fridge and microwave - eating area - bathroom is passable - get key from thr local bar. - H.J.Appleby

26/6-2018: the Albuquerque with 30 beds is closed for the moment because of broken showers. But there is a small Albergue of 6 beds, lots of hot water and a wash line. Get the key at the the only bar. Marianne and Hans, Denmark
