Well-situated and clean

I stayed on 29 August 2026 and it cost €10 (cash only). The showers and toilets were clean and modern — there are multiple mixed gender showers but only one female/male toilet on each floor. Every two bunks shared their own sink and mirror. The kitchen area is huge but there’s only a sink and microwave (no stove or cutlery). The albergue is next to a lot of Burgo attractions including a great tapas street, and the doors shut at 10pm.

Great location, many pelgrims, low price

Good place to recharge. Modern facilities, great location next to the cathedral. Can recommend when passing by the city and need to recharge for a low price. Easy to meet other pelgrims.

Injured pilgrim(me)

There is a review below ( from 2 years ago that the albergue wanted to punish injured pilgrims. This was completely not the case for me. I injured both knees so was barely mobile. They were very kind to me, gave me a bottom bunk on the2nd floor, and put my ice in the freezer. They have an elevator too. Has a nice common area with tables and maybe a kitchen and washing machines and many drying racks. Sinks for every 4 bunks, many showers.

Would recomend

The place is clean but the kitchen is not very well equipped, also the WiFi is not strong enough and there is no fridge, also one of the guys who is runing the place is really inpolite and behaves like a jerk, but I would recomend it for 10 euros

Very nice municipal

Modern facilities with private and clean showers and toilets, bunks in groups of four, a drying area for laundry, reliable wifi, and a good kitchen. Excellent location. The top bunk beds are a little hard to get into which is my only complaint.

Casa del Cubo Albergue

Stayed there 2 nights ago - very impressed how modern it is. Takes a huge number of people, but it doesn't feel like it. Only thing, it was cold and they don't have a blanket. The female hospitalero was very strict - everyone MUST leave by 8am or "be punished" -her words! That gave me something to occupy my thoughts for the next 10km.

great!

new, spacious, clean, easy

Has all the necessities except hand soap

Efficient and reasonably clean albergue, built to host many pilgrims (and able to do so). Some folks were concerned about being “locked in” at night but there is a clearly labeled fire escape (through the courtyard with outdoor stairs). The place has washing machines, plenty of clothes racks, microwave, vending machines, outlets beside each bed— seems great!

Beautiful Alburgue

This Alburgue is very nice. There are lots of showers and bathrooms. The kitchen area only has a microwave but that's ok. We went out for food. I enjoyed my time here.

Would not recommend if you’re hurt

My friends were injured and we had to take a cab. Dr said do not walk.
Got to albergue at 12. We were sent up to the 5th floor. Bunks are child size and the bottom of the top bunk have sharp exposed metal. Ouch. Pretty empty up there but we discovered everyone up there was injured and didn’t walk.
My friend asked the host about it because the other floors had modern bunks. “Are you punishing us” my friend asked. The host confirmed that we being punished because we didn’t walk.
If you’re hurt, don’t come here. Not very accommodating

They lock you in until 6:30 a.m.

My last comment was wrong. They force you to stay until 6:30 a.m.

Reminds me of Roncesvalles

Nicer municipal albergue with por style bunks like Roncesvalles. Only one bathroom per floor is a bit tough though. The worst part was they lock you in so you can’t leave before 6 a.m., which I was hoping to do ahead of a long 32K/20 mile day.

Brilliant, purpose built albergue. Great location.

They do not take reservations here so there will always be a queue as it's probably the cheapest & best albergue in Burgos. We got here at 12.30 & there was about 15 peopl ahead of us + however many had already been admitted since they opened at 12. Each floor has semi private, pod type bunks with 5 showers between about 24 people. Huge communal area with 3 washing machines & 2 dryers - can pay with coins or card & don't need washing powder - it dispenses automatically. Kitchen area with a couple of sinks & a microwave. Several vending machines with hot & cold drinks & snacks. Secure bike storage area. The only bed thing I would say is that there is no soap to wash your hands in the toilets. They have lots of alcohol gel available in reception with lots of signs still warning about covid & then no soap to wash your hands??? Doesn't make sense.

Line takes a very long time

I arrived at 12pm - it’s now 2pm at least 25 people still ahead of me.

17. April 2023 - 19:05

Best mjnicipal so far

Very comfortable and felt private with only two bunks per area. Each bunk had chargers and a light. Everything was very modern and comfortable. Only issues were lacking facilities. No kitchen and no designated place to hand wash clothes (though machines were provided)

21. November 2022 - 14:34

They open at 14:00 during the winter season…

…and it costs 10€/bed, disposable sheets included. Still my favourite place to stay in Burgos; great pilgrim spirit and great place to meet other pilgrims ❤️

Great albergue!

They even have an elevator! I loved the smaller spaces, just two bunks per space with only two pilgrims housed in each. Sinks are right there - it's so convenient. Close to the Cathedral and many food opportunities.
