Albergue São José de Ribamar

For 10€ you get your sleep and your shower. Host speaks basic english, so that is nice. You get disposable bedsheets, but you need your cover/sleeping bag. When i came, one bed was broken. They are not really comfortable, but you get your sleep.

Opens at 2pm but the man working there when we stayed checked in 4 people every 30 minutes. He was quite strange; recommend not smiling or saying anything unnecessary
Big hostel, nice big kitchen area for meeting people and a lounge area too.
No sheet, blanket or towel provided. Dirty bathrooms, blocked showers.

10€, clean dorms. Kitchen is great and bathrooms are okay. The only thing is the bunk beds are metal so lots of noise at night. A part from that it is a great place. Check-in from 2pm to 6pm.

For €10 this is great. It wasn’t overcrowded when I stayed. Bunk beds have space between them, and you are provided paper mattress and pillow covers. The bathrooms are decent, the kitchen is well equipped, and it is very central to everything - beach, supermarket, restaurants, and across the road from the church.

The price is standard 10 euro for a bunk with paper mattress and pillow cover. Also it is open year round. Big room not too stuffed w bunks, clean w good shower. Great location.

The Donativo is definitely closed on Mondays , and no other Albergue in town . So many Pilgrims arrived and had no where to sleep. We ended up having to book an Abnb for the night .

Wachten tot opening om 14.00 uur en toen een gastvrij en hartelijk welkom. Alles keurig en schoon, uiterst vriendelijke gastheer.
Aanraden waard, graag wel een normale prijs doneren want dat is de bedoeling. Ga niet voor een dubbeltje op de eerste rang zitten: doneer goed zodat de pelgrimsgedachte waardig en succesvol kan worden voortgezet!

If you arrive before 2pm if you see someone inside you can enter and leave your stuff, but no check in until that time. No reservation available.

The albergue is closed on Mondays. The service is Tuesday to Sunday. We rang ahead to the next albergue 6km away, but there was no space. Me and my pilgrim friends stayed at Mar a Vista which we booked for £45 for a twin room.

So clean, so friendly. The showers are great and the bunks high enough that you don’t hit your head on the lower and the uppers are easy to access. Stay here and donate generously!! They are fantastic!!

Second time lucky, lovely clean Albergue. We got a bed. Big rooms sleep 8, very clean and modern showers.
