Great place on our Camino

Lovely albergue! Rooms are clean, for a small price you can get bed linen,. Garden is huge and has place for everyone. Soup - cannot miss to leave a comment about that - so good after a long day on the road’ kitchen is good and all you need you can find there - groceries are available to buy there for areasonable amount, since there is almost nothing around the area where you can eat or buy anything.
Only downside - light in the room is switching on by the motion sensor, so in the evening it was quite a headache for people who want to get to sleep early - there is no way to shut down the light completely or reduce it, every move of anyone just lits the whole place - same with the toilet room that is basically in the same big space as the beds with a thin wall separating it.

Just what you need

Arriving after a long walk to a friendly check in, flowers in the garden, a pool to cool your feet is so nice. The bunks have curtains and power points. There’s a lounge, courtyard, a garden with hammocks to relax with a book. I liked the kitchen with a big square table for enjoying grandma’s soup in the evening and breakfast before setting off.

Paradise!!

I am at this albergue currently and it is literally like stepping into paradise. So relaxed and gives me time to recuperate from my days walk. Just going to sample the soup and bread and it smells delicious ..

Brilliant Albergue/Hostel

Absolutely 1st class welcoming, friendly and all you need to refresh and cook (if only I could cook) nice cafes/bar 5 minutes walkaway. I'm sure Carolina was a Pilgrim herself so an Albergue/ Hostel managed by a Pilgrim for Pilgrims 😀

An Absolute Treasure

All that was missing was Adam and Eve in this Garden Paradise. It's clean, it's so inviting and friendly a perfect place to be after a wonderful walk

Lovely place

Lovely respite for the tired pilgrim. Clean and comfortable with the offering of a hot meal. 0ne of the best stops on our trip north.

Almost perfect

Beautiful albergue with everything you need but WiFi almost didn’t work. The price was 20€ what we haven’t expected…

An amazing refuge

Thank you Carolina! (pronounced LEEna). Lovely relaxed hacienda and garden, welcoming hostess, terrific Camino camaraderie, ages from 20 to 60, slept like a baby. Little snack bar down the road serves an excellent hamburger

My favourite albergue thanks to the hosts!

Carolina & her husband are the nicest couple, so accommodating & friendly. Carolina's Mum & Dad help with running the albergue & Carolina's grandmother a big pot of fresh vegetable soup from her garden every day for the pilgrims for €2 each. Breakfast is included in the price: bread roll, marmalade, fresh tomatoes & apples, corn flakes, oats to make porridge, tea & coffee.

The dorms are beautiful with privacy curtains, lights & sockets in each bunk. There are semi private rooms with 4 beds & private bathroom which are lovely too. Plenty of indoor & outdoor space to relax. A small plunge pool to soothe tired feet.

Only 1 small cafe nearby with limited menu: burgers, kebabs, tuna salad or hot dog. No supermarket nearby either so bring supplies & use the fabulous kitchen (after a bowl of Grandma Maria's delicipus soup 😊)

We will definitely stay here again! We came for the albergue & stayed for the Dublin accent 🤣

Great albergue

One of the best and I've walked 5 caminos so far. Has everything you could need, except a washing machine. Hand washingavailable. Nice welcome by host and cold lemon drink offered. Bunks have lots of charging points, blanket, locker and privacy curtain. Spacious area outside to relax and adequate lounge areas inside if weather is bad. Fridge with alcoholic or soft drinks. Small supplies of food for cooking in kitchen. Looking forward to grandma's soup later tonight. €17 for bunk that includes breakfast.

Couldn’t recommend more

Great oasis after a hot day of walking. Everything is done with such love there. I really felt welcomed there. Good beds, clean linens, a lot of space to relax, and even some medical items available if you are in need. And grandma’s legendary vegetable soup is a must to try.

Another outstanding albergue

May 2023. The nicest welcome ever. A cold drink given on arrival. A huge friendly welcome. Super clean hostel. Amazing atmosphere. Great beds. Real cotton bottom sheet and pillow case - bed ready prepared. Lovely clean, thin blankets provided per bed. (Not quite warm enough in May - I have a thermal sheet liner and felt a little chilly with just this and this blanket but was next to the window.)
An all round hostel where the hostess truly take pride in her work. (Oh and her grandmothers amazing home-made garden-grown soup for €2. As well as other food and drink items to buy.)

Great hostess, so welcoming!

Everything is so clean, light and airy. The bunks have privacy curtains and lockers. There is a charging port at every bed. Vegetable soup made by grandmother Maria was a highlight.

5. April 2023 - 17:37

Casa Da Carolina was a highlight.

The facilities are like new and well planned. Guests are welcomed in like family and encouraged to feel at home. There are plenty of spaces to relax and socialize with fellow pilgrims. Grandmother Maria made a lovely soup for all. This private albergue is highly recommended.

Good albergue, great food nearby

While this camino has an open kitchen where you can cook your own food, there is no full meal option.
But just a few minutes doen the road is a great little cafe with very tasty food and cheap prices: Cafe Catete.
Very much recomended for both..

Such a lovely albergue.

Such a lovely albergue. Carolina really takes care and there is a bath to soak your feet. One item - there is not much food options nearby so eat before or bring something with you.
