Pilgrims on the road and friends along the way send me changes every day, and they go out the same day. The Camino Francés app carries all of it offline, and it's still being built — new features arrive routinely.

A lovely stop after the hardest part of the last major climb of the Camino Frances. Great spot to rest and recover before finishing the climb in the morning with the views of the sunrise surrounding you. Beautiful views, little village nearby, cows grazing in nearby pastures with tinkling bells, a bar that provides a delicious dinner to eat communally with other pilgrims, huge kitchen, lots of space in the dormitories with private partitions and ample outlets. All in all an excellent place to spend the night.

This is a really special place to stay at. Super friendly hospitaleras and a renovated place along with beautiful surroundings including an old church make this place very special and beautiful. Dinner is prepared by the local bar and was good (and enough).
Would gladly stay here again if I ever do the Camino again

We split the climb upto o cebreiro and didn’t regret it! The volenteers didn’t everything to make us feel welcome. Very spacious room, devided by real stone walls.
In the morning you get to see the hills with the first sunshine. One of the best Camino experiences!

The church and relax area outside is very nice, and so was the hospitaleros. We attended the pilgrims blessing which was nice, and the stay was only 8 euros a person. We got greeted with biscuits and a glass of water, which was nice as the climb was quite steep and it was a very hot day.

This was one of my favorite stays on the Camino. The volunteers that take *such* good care of the place are lovely and greeted us with iced tea during check-in, which after the climb up was amazing. Very clean everything, a free spinner for laundry, and a pretty church on-site. And all for €8. Highly recommend for the stay and for cutting the climb shorter :)

Lovely Albergue run by kind friendly hospitalieros. A very tranquil setting part way up to Ocebriero. Fantastic kitchen but there is nowhere nearby to buy any food so you will have to bring something with you. Sadly there is no longer an option for a group dinner but there is a small bar in the village if you fail to come prepared

This albergue is my sweet spot. The hostel is fantastic, this place is magic.

Tranquil rest at this hidden jem after the gentle climb through autumnal woods. A good big kitchen perfect for cooking chestnuts. large but pleasant dorm. Clean bathrooms. Kind german hospiteleros. Sunset to the sound of cow bells and rustling trees.

Wonderful Albergue, simple but so clean and warm! Blankets available, heaters were on. Hot shower. And kitchen available to cook with all the utensils you could need. Bonus: a guitar to play. And kind hosts. The property itself looked beautiful despite the rain we had. On a sunny day looks like a peaceful place to rest. Would recommend!

This place is so peaceful and full of kindness. When I arrived, exhausted and dripping sweat from the climb in 35+ degree weather, the volunteers immediately offered me mint lemonade, and one even carried my backpack in for me (an extra kindness, considering it probably didn't smell great!). There's a lovely outdoor area right next to the beautiful church with a small cool fountain for your feet. The shower works well and the bathroom is stocked beyond what I would expect with real soap and towel, a hair dryer, pads and tampons, and, for some reason, nail polish. This has been the perfect resting point after a challenging day and I feel fulfilled to continue on tomorrow thanks to the kindness of the volunteers.

A very nice parroquial albergue with German team (volunteers?) running it. Very well organized. Big kitchen with utensils available, also e.g. tea bags, sugar, salt etc. Lovely old church next to the dorm building. Enjoyed my stay a lot! Only the wasp nest freaked me out a little bit, but it’s easy to avoid them.

Kurt who is running the albergue is a legend. So clean, massive rooms and bathrooms. One of the best albergues yet!
27. May 2024 - 7:00
Nice beds, spacious, well-equipped and spacious kitchen, friendly ospedalieres, clean, nice and warm water in the showers. Nice little, calm town. Would stay here again.

welcomed, comfortable, organized, easy stay

This place is simply lovely and peaceful. I was so happy to find a clean, well-organised and efficiently thought out place. It has been the best place so far when it comes to comfort. I was also delighted to find ingredients the albergue provides for pilgrim in exchange for a donation. Simply perfect. I would definitely go back there.

Stay at here for a night, was truly a fantastic place. clean and kitchen well stocked with needed items to make dinner. There were 11 of us and together made dinner and talked into the night. We lit the fireplace as it was chilly. The Hosts are lovely.
I would recommend this as a stopping point because the next day hike was long, hard and not so great. The way for us because it rained was muddy and not easy at all.
26. May 2023 - 12:22
I really really enjoyed my stay here. The two german Ladies running the place were so nice and you could tell that they liked being there. The place is clean and well run. There is a kitchen with pasta, tomato sauce, biscuits, milk and other essentials. There are good washing facilities and the beds are comfy. The Albergue is in an old building surrounded by the most beautiful landscape. Lovely stay!!!
3. May 2023 - 8:18
This hostel was so beautiful, set in the mountains, surrounded by greenery. The staff were very kind and helpful. The kitchen has food and refreshments available and ask for a donation in return. Beds were very comfortable and the large dorm was divided up by wall as that give a sense of privacy. Really special place I would come back
16. October 2022 - 19:46
The staff is very friendly and the facilities and amenities are very good. Very idyllic place also. If you're thinking about a stretch up the mountain as a last part of your day it's well worth the 2,5km climb from Las Herrerias just to experience this place amd continue on with fresh and relaxed feet in the morning.
11. August 2019 - 17:41
I definitely recommend staying here because it makes for an easier day going up the mountain as you start close and fresh. The facility is nice and in a beautiful location. Only downside really is one bathroom for men and one for women for each room of 20+ people. But in general a very good albergue.
