No vegetables?

Arrived at Casa Garcia, was told, no vegetables. Only meat and fish. No bread, no nothing. One thing they for sure had was rickety bunk beds and shirtless locals drunk and asleep like dead men in the lobby.

Great stop

We really enjoyed our stay here. Very comfortable and meals were very delicious. Bar open all day for those who wanted to partake. Good washing facilities as well . Very reasonable price for everything, cash only . Highly recommend.

Recommend! But Cash Only

Cash only, so just come prepared. The bunk rooms were not full, and it would be spacious enough even if they were. Good shower and a great pilgrim meal. Bar onsite, but nothing for breakfast. Didn’t see hand wash laundry options. A great off stage option to avoid the crowds.

Wonderful stay and a wonderful host

Fabulous stay. Had a private room that was amazing. The lady there was amazing. Fabulous huge pilgrim meal for 15€. Great bar and well with the stop. Check it out if you can

Sad stay

Hospitalero did not want to feed us - no place to cook and no other spot to get food in town. It was raining and walking to the next town to get food was not a great option. She finally relented, and her husband actually cooked a pretty good meal. I felt very unwelcome, though. Not very nice.

Not great.

Most uncomfortable mattress on the whole Camino. Wifi doesn’t reach the bedrooms (and no cell service), no community feel - just on the side of the bar. Would my stay here again.

Most amazing meal I’ve had

I paid for dinner at check, looking. forward to the evening meal. I sat down to the best dinner I’ve had in nearly 10 years. It was 5 star dining if ever there was. Definitely stay at the Casa Garcia.

Stay Here

The Casa Garcia is one of my favourite Alburgues since St Jean Pied de Port.

20. May 2024 - 16:18

One of the best!

It was one of my best stays since St Jean. Beautiful place. Wonderful dinner. Host does a great job! Highly recommend. Oh and real sheets!

Smelly Albergue

Albergue looks Nice, the female owner is very busy trying to help everybody. Inside the Albergue it smelled horrible. Wet clothes and shoes everywhere. There was no space to let your wet clothes dry. Even in the bathroom where wet boots on the heaters.
The toilets / showers are old and not clean.
In the morning nobody there to get you a coffee or a sandwich.
For me absolutely the worst Albergue from all I have been in on this Camino.
Definitely not recommend this one.

I highly recommend staying here.

A gem!!

A beautiful place to stay. I had a private room with shared bath. It is quiet and calm. Hidden off the main road. The pilgrim meal was delicious!

Very nice stay - October 2023

The young couple are really nice, welcoming and helpful. The Hostal has been renovated in the most beautiful way. The pilgrim menu was very delicious. To be highly recommended.
