Pilgrims on the road and friends along the way send me changes every day, and they go out the same day. The Camino Francés app carries all of it offline, and it's still being built — new features arrive routinely.

Not open in February 2025

Albergue is not open in February 2025, in spite of what 2 authorative Camino- apps say, and contrary to the signs ar the beginning of the village!!!

Chaotic cluster

From the moment I arrived, chaos seemed the norm. The woman behind the bar was disorganized. They went upstairs a few times to count beds to see if they could take in walk-ins.

She asked if we had a reservation, but many of us had been told they wouldn’t take reservations ahead of time.

Ordering something for dinner was equally disorganized. We wee told we could get something at 7. But we couldn’t figure out how to order, either at the bar (no luck) or in the dining area (no attention there either). That said, when the food arrived (around 8, as it happens) it hit the spot.

Not many alternatives

No common room, no kitchen, you walk past nearly all of the beds to the bathrooms or the exit, I had no Wi-Fi connection in my bunk. You pay extra for throw away bedsheets. They offer pilgrims menue

Dirty

Bunks are almost all in one big room which was not clean, looked like it hasn’t been vacuumed in a week or more and the plastic mattresses have stains on them. Disposable sheets cost extra. Bathroom also looked unclean and the ceiling in the bathroom is covered in black mould. Do not recommend at all

Do not recommend

This is the worst hostel experience so far. Very weird check in with a bartender who was either drunk or on something. The price is 13 now and 1 euro for the sheets. The dorm upstairs is very dirty and the bathroom ceiling is covered in black mold. It seems the bathrooms aren’t cleaned either. Would feel very uncomfortable arriving on my own and I’m glad I was with people. Overpriced and uncomfortable. I won’t be back

Uncomfortable Vibe

Very strange check in experience, host kept stopping to do other things like change the tv channel. He was unfriendly as well and just generally acting very weird.

The dorm is big with a lot of beds in one room. Not many electricity sockets and sheets cost an extra 3 euro. The bed cost 13 euros - sheets are normally included even for cheaper beds.

The worst part though was how dirty the room was. The floor looked like it hasn’t been vacuumed in days at least, maybe more, there were stains on the plastic mattresses which also had parts of the plastic rubbed off.

Considered leaving without getting our money back but the reviews for the other albergues in this village are not great either.

Price was right

Basic accommodations in the dorm. Large room with many beds. Nice rubber mattresses, can buy bed coverings for extra fee. Not many power outlets available, pilgrims are unplugging the toaster to charge their phones. Electric hot water kettle available.

This review represents my personal experience, yours could be different. Please remember this when reading any personal review. Lovey place, very clean bathroom and showers. Lots of bunks in a large room and spaced apart nicely. The bar/restaurant which is part of the albergue is cheap and also stocks basics that you would find in a supermarket (breads, cheese, yogurts etc) this is a very good place to stop if you can’t continue to the next town

27. April 2018 - 17:26

Great heavy bunks

Very sweet family. Showers are a little awkward but manageable. The top floor has single beds. Dinner seems like a good deal. The town is very quiet.

20. January 2017 - 8:01

Winter Camino

Warm in the dorm. Plenty of open space. Large bathrooms and attached clothes washing area. Food was ok but it was great to have the tavern attached.

25/9/2016

Disappointing. Crowded dormitory above the restaurant with only one narrow stairway for entrance and exit. The bathrooms were in poor condition. Two women's toilets and two shower stalls. The doors to both shower stalls had broken latches (we used the honor system!). Only one toilet had a toilet seat. Bathroom floor flooded with every shower. I expected more based on the posted reviews.

Pilgrim Dinner was €10 and they don't provide blankets but do provide disposable bed covers.
