Pilgrims on the road and friends along the way send me changes every day, and they go out the same day. The Camino del Norte app carries all of it offline, and it's still being built — new features arrive routinely.

It‘s open

And the view is amazing! You can collect a key in the tourist office (which is closed 14–16). Everything is new and clean!

15. June 2025 - 16:33

Still Closed

I just texted the albergue and found out it is still closed.

5. June 2024 - 15:29

Closed

Just got off the phone with the albergue and they are closed. I don't know when they will reopen

30. September 2023 - 15:10

Albergue open?

Albergue closed from 30-09-2023

4. August 2023 - 8:19

Open but go to the Tourist Office First

You have to collect a key from the tourist office about 5 minute walk from the albergue first which assigns you a bed. It closes at 1:30pm so aim for before then or it reopens at 5pm however it is likely that it will be full by then as there are only 16 beds. The ocean view from the albergue is probably the best view from an albergue so far along the way!

Potentially closed for the summer?

I called the number listed above and I believe he said the albergue is closed for the summer and that I would need to find a hotel. I was disappointed since I walked extra far today to stay at the albergue. Note that my Spanish is not the best, so you should call to verify before walking here specifically for the albergue.

19. May 2023 - 19:39

Closed until June 15, 2023

We went to the tourist office today for the keys and were told the albergue is closed until 15/06/2023.

10€ at the beach

Nice little albergue with microwave and hot water kettle. Right on the camino and next to the beach. Nice quaint little town too with great beaches and a natural swimming pool. Great place for a day of rest too!

What to expect at the albergue!

7SEP - Rate now is EUR10/PP

No breakfast

No hot water

No washing machine

The view is incredible!

30. July 2022 - 19:35

Cold shower

Small addition to my previous comment: there are 2 bathrooms (1 women and 1 men) that both consists of 1 toilet and 2 showers, but there was no hot water when we stayed there.

30. July 2022 - 19:34

Nice view - basic albergue

This albergue is open from the 1st of july till 30 september. The albergue itself feels very crowded and the kitchen consists of a microwave and some plates but no sink, so you have to get water from the sink in the bathroom (where people will afterwards also clean their dishes). The microwave etc. is also in the same room as the beds, so keep that in mind if you are an early sleeper / wish to wake up later. The ocean view from the albergue however is magnificent, which is why most people choose to stay here. Also the town is nice, has some good places to go out for dinner / supermarket and has another beach with sand to swim.

13. July 2022 - 15:08

OPEN

Just came here and it's open. Also looks nice. No food in albergue but some nice restaurants and beaches around.

24. May 2022 - 12:10

May 2022 - Closed

Sign at the door says: closed due to termination of concession.

11. May 2022 - 19:25

Maybe closed April 2022

I'm in luarca and have been told Tapia is closed. I haven't checked it myself but there is no answer on the phone numbers

22. June 2019 - 18:07

I do not recommend this

I do not recommend this Albergue.

22. June 2019 - 18:06

I walked 42 km to stay in

I walked 42 km to stay in this place. No bed was available. View is ok but energy was negative. Too many pilgrims. Smelly. Stuffy. No air. The information is misleading.
