Albergue de Peregrinos Casona de San Miguel

Roberto was the host, maybe always there, and he is a lovely human. So helpful and adorable. It was probably 1/2 full. Not much of a kitchen so I ate out. A comfy night. The next day I was walking to Oviedo and this car came up behind me beeping and it was Roberto. He wanted to tell me to take the alternate BICI route because it avoided a section of highway. It was perfect! Right through a little greenway. Gracias Roberto!

The municipal albergue now costs 10 euro. It had beds and showers divided for men and women. Friendly hospitalero. Was probably only 1/2 full when I stayed. Not fancy or luxurious, but seemed clean enough and I rested well.

Very limited accommodation options in Pola de Siero, but this is a very good hostel. Extremely helpful and friendly hospitalero (Roberto). Seems to be open all year round - I stayed 06/11/2025 and was the only guest. It was closed when I arrived, but Roberto came within minutes after I telephoned.

A good stop but, the host is a little hard to understand, confuse about the hours for supper. A termite problem is actualy present in the albergue. Be careful.

Great albergue in a historic old building. Big yard to relax in off the weather is good. Lots of room in the dorms, and big, super hot showers. Hosts are really nice and seem keen on this newish albergue and the linking route to oveido to be a success. There is even a drying room to hand wet gear. They recommended a place for a pilgrims menu (le teya)- 10€ and very generous amount of food and drink. They don’t do reservations though.

Amazing hospitalario. Very welcoming. Good shower.
