Very nice and clean accommodation. Finally no bunk beds. Towels are provided and the bathroom is pleasantly spacious – you can shower without having to collect all your wet clothes afterwards. 😄
The landlady is also super nice and very attentive. I felt really comfortable here. I can absolutely recommend it, especially if you're looking for a quieter accommodation on the Camino instead of 20 double beds in a small room.

Super place to sleep and eat. The hostess was wonderful, the meal served that night was delicious. The 4 beds dorm was luxurious as albergue’s go, as this is a home and bar/ cafe noise was never an issue. I highly recommend staying here.

We shared a beautiful 4-bed dorm that seems to be an extension of the house, glas bricks instead of walls. Gives the room a nice flair. The pilgrim menu does not include whine, however it’s home-cooked by the host, very tasty, with a vegetarian option available, and the host is also the bartender so you can order a whine or beet at a very reasonable expense. The host is amazing, by the way, extremely well-organised bookings, serves at the bar, cooks dinner, does the laundry, provides breakfast. Working from very early in the morning til late in the evening, while being very welcoming, attentive and friendly. I happily supported this well-run female business.

The woman who owns the place is very attentive and will wash 6 articles of clothing for 3 euros. There is a pilgrim dinner at 8pm and she has a bar that serves drinks and empanadas. The room, bed, and shower is very clean.
20 euros for the night, 3 euros for laundry, around 10 euros for dinner, and 5 euros for breakfast.

Having stayed at the Albergue Aves de Paso 5 years ago and LOVING IT, I was hoping to stay there again, but it closed unexpectedly, so we stayed here. Very nice albergue and hostess.
There is a restaurant and small shop downstairs, and another small market next door.
She will launder 6 articles of clothing for €3 and it is ready at 7am the next day. You need to be out of the room by 8am. Our room was tight with 3 twins yet has a private bathroom which is spacious and clean.
We had dinner at the Mexican restaurant up the road- highly recommend it. At the table, we had the vegetarian nachos (yum), a beef burrito (large with greens), pork tacos (4 per serving, delicious), and the vegetarian dinner salad (huge).
Breakfast is not included but I recommend it- coffee from the espresso machine and bread with tomato and cheese.

What an amazing place to walk into. The hostess was great. She will do laundry for you. There is a pilgrim meal at 20:00. We were traveling with friends and had booked four beds. Our room had four beds. Not bunk beds. Four beds, with blankets sheets and towels as well as lockers if we needed them. We also had a bath for just our room. Very clean and comfortable. Breakfast is t 07:00 as well and right on The Way. I cannot recommend Albergue Castiellu enough. Just what we needed at the end of today’s beautiful saunter along the ocean.

You can give your laundry in a bag and get it washed back in the morning. Clean, great dinner! nice woman. Paid 42 € for three bed room, dinner, breakfast. It was worth it.

This small albergue is clean and cozy. Nice and clean bathroom, you will also get a towel.

It is possible to let wash and dry 6 pieces of your clothes for 2€

There is a tiny supermarket right next to the albergue.

Nice beds, cosy rooms. Bar with nice pizza downstars. You can relax after all day. 17E for shared room. Pizza 9.50E

Araceli, the bar and Albergue owner, was wonderful. We found ourselves there in March 2020 when Spain shut down for COVID. Rather than throw us out, Araceli hosted us for 3 days until we could rearrange our flights back to the US. We returned to her place in 2022 to finish the Norte. Highly recommend!
