Pilgrims on the road and friends along the way send me changes every day, and they go out the same day. The Camino del Norte app carries all of it offline, and it's still being built — new features arrive routinely.

A true Albergue for the pilgrims

Pablo and Tatiana are excellent hosts. The room is clean, bed is comfortable, sheets and blankets are a nice touch. Dinner and breakfast are affordable and good. Tatiana is full of information on the primitvo, very helpful and an advocate for those walking. I recommend!

Great 1st stop - couldn’t ask for more!

The owner and staff go above and beyond to make your stay a perfect one.

They are welcoming and they enjoy entertaining us too! We had fun before, during and after dinner.

They also took the time to give us a briefing on what to expect on the road ahead, provided great advice which we don’t regret following.

I left my European adapter in my private room and they made sure to send it along to the next Albergue I was staying at.

About the room: bathrobe, sandals (flip flops) towels, soap, shampoo and lotion.

I recommend and would come back!

Perfect first stop.

I really enjoyed my overnight stay and evening meal here with Paulo and his lovely wife.
They really went out of there way to accommodate a meal for me as I have special dietary requirements and could not do enough to make sure I was comfortable.
My room was lovely, clean, comfy and I slept very well.
Well recommend and a definite on my return to the Primitivo next year.😍

Expensive

We stayed here yesterday and found the place good for lunch but over priced for the night.

Lovely but evening meal is expensive

We stayed there in June this year and it was a lovely first stop on the Camino. The owner and his family really care about the pilgrims who stay with them.

A note of caution regarding the evening meal - the prices shoot up. The cheap pilgrim menu that’s advertised at lunch is nowhere to be seen come dinner time, so if you’re on a budget be mindful of this. One way around it could be to eat well for lunch, taking full advantage of their reasonably priced pilgrim menu (€12 in June 2024), then eat a light dinner to save cash.

Ok…the comments are true!

I hear a lot about this albeurge…it’s the best on the Camino, great food, nice owner and a lot more blablabla. And to be fair - they are true!

It’s a nice and clean room, the food was very good and the owners are really interested on you, your safety and your joy on the Camino.

Thanks for that!

Good, but overpriced

The place is nice, location is top shelf. But food and drinks are so so and very overpriced. Payed 20€ for one simple main course no and a small beer.

Wonderful stay

We stayed in September 2022 and we're so glad that we started out slow. We had a twin room which was very comfortable. We cooled off in the pool and chilled out in the swings over the river. The food was great and very welcome. Our great hosts ensured a perfect start to our Camino.

Great host & excellent hostel

Location is terrific- right on the Primitivo with a lovely creek next to it. The host is excellent, facilities decent quality (including a pool, washer/dryer etc). Plenty of lovely places to relax.

The food is outstanding.

The best of the primitivo

The best hostel of my 6 Camino de Santiago. The room was spacious and clean. The beds are very comfortable. The food in the restaurant is wonderful, with a gluten free menu. The best thing is the attention. Tatyana, Pablo and Arantza make you feel like family. I arrived as a meregrina and left as a friend.

Great place!

On this our third Camino this is a jewel that pilgrims should not mess. The owners and staff have been helpful and delightful for our stay. The main house is right on the river with hammocks and hanging chairs above the bubbling water to cool your feet. Excellent find which we highly suggest you consider..

Wonderful hosts and great accommodations

Very nice albergue plus a few private rooms. Large patio and nice restaurant. Best of all, the hosts are very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend!

9. October 2021 - 13:36

Good

Clean albergue, 16€, washer/dryer available for 4€ ea. Big restaurant downstairs. Friendly but pushy staff. They sold us way more food than we needed during our stay and it was rather expensive.
