Camino del Norte app

Pilgrims on the road and friends along the way send me changes every day, and they go out the same day. The Camino del Norte app carries all of it offline, and it's still being built — new features arrive routinely.

HIHome Uría - Mixed Bag

Cool old space with good common areas. The big negative was the unreliability of the app. For me and a couple of others, we kept getting an error message while checking in through the app. In all cases we had to dig through the multiple emails to find someone to call for help. Late at night a new person came and also could not get the app to work. Someone let her into the bldg and then she banged on the hostel door and room Door to get in. There is a kitchen but no cooking supplies. Water boiler and coffee maker with coffee and filters a plus.

Awesome hostel!!

This is a great place to stay. Very clean, comfy bed with sheets and a blanket, and a big soft towel. Nice bathrooms. Beautiful shared living room area. Great location (right by the bus and train stations). Insanely creaky floors, but it was more funny to me and other guests than annoying. Would love to come back here even for non-camino purposes!

Recommended!

Easy to find, super clean and yes the floor boards are creaky! Bed was already made up, nice towel to use and the kitchen had tea and coffee. I found the app easy to use once I’d set it up, which took hardly any time.

I would definitely come back!

It is no joke about the creaky floors - I have never experienced anything like it! That being said, this is a great hostel. Beds are new and really comfortable, everything was spotless clean, towels and a duvet provided. Very comfortable and really nice atmosphere! I had no problems with the app, works fine. I would definitely come back, best recommendations (despite the creaky floors - earplugs worked for me)!

Not recommended

I have stayed in many private hostels so far on the Camino Norte, so I thought it would make sense to begin the Primitivo here.

Like everyone noted, the floors are creaky. The app to access any of the doors is difficult to work and requires you to constantly have a phone. The space is clean and cute, but there are too many people for the number of bathrooms.

People were smoking inside the hostel, and there was no one there to address the issue.

Definitely not worth the price.

Great place!

This hostel made a great first stop on our Camino! There was an app to unlock our room and a locker room to store our packs until it was time for check-in. So cute, but yes the hallways were a little creaky. It didn't keep us up though. Great location near a Decathlon to buy a few last minute items.

Lovely but v creaky floors

Lovely old apartment renovated into a hostel with dorm beds and singles. Very cosy and homely and good bedding and big towels. Laura who runs it is super friendly BUT the floors really need to be redone; especially in the dorm room where it seemed everything creaked all night long.
