Our lovely first experience of a casa rural agristurismo was a joy. A warm greeting with our host Rosa providing a drying room. All us walkers of probably ten were soaked from a days torrential rain. Our double bedroom was clean comfortable quiet, with shower en suite. 120 bed and big healthy breakfast worth every cent in rest recovery and welcome.Ten minutes steep descent into the sweet seaside town of Deba. Very difficult to get accommodation in Deba, and we met walkers who had to sleep on the beach. Deba is full of characters which makes up for its steep streets. So steep there are elevators in between some streets. Culinary discovery was the much celebrated big tomato which sits like a prized trophy in bars. Breakfast from Rosa was local fresh fruit of apple and pear puree, local egg tortilla and strong coffee. A hug on our leaving. All in all one of those special memories. Stay here and support Basque rural culture and have a heartfelt time.🙏🏽🥾🥾🥾

Good for a night. It was enough clean, the host was very kind and the homemade dinner was good and even too big.

Casa rural hotel was not clean and we found bed bug poo in the mattress in our room upstairs. Showed it to the manager and she have us another room that was much cleaner! 70 euro was too much for this simple hotel but we didn’t find somewhere else to sleep and was exausted after the day so we just needed a bed. (The hotel seems to have several names: Country lodge donibane and Donibane Nekazalturismoa)
