Albergue Villamayor de Monjardín

The owner Anna is very kind and caring. The place is clean and quiet. Dinner is held together at 6pm. Jovial atmosphere and a small gift for everyone at the end of dinner🥰. At the end of the evening Anna doesn't just say goodbye, she hugs everyone!!! Special, for me #1

Clean, comfortable, wonderful hosts and one of the yummiest dinners we’ve had on the Camino. Highly recommend the 7pm pilgrims mass in the Iglesia de San Andrés Apóstol (next door to the Albergue).

We arrived early in the afternoon and decided to climb the Castillo de San Esteban de Deyo o de Monjardín. Very steep climb, but amazing views from the top. Highly recommended if you have the energy.

No longer cotton sheets as mentioned in other comments, but still a lovely stay with great hosts. Dinner was delicious. Laundry for €3. Nice bathrooms. Beautiful view.

Javier and Anna were gracious hosts. Our room was very clean and comfortable with a great view. Ana cooked a delicious pilgrim dinner including her homemade Quince preserves for dessert. Loved it.

This was an outstanding albergue. Hosts were wonderful. Food was great. The beds were the best and they gave us real sheets.

Javier and Anna are wonderful hosts in their Albergue. Cotten sheets and pillow cases. Check in process was easy and Javier was informative. We reserved one day prior via WhatsApp.

Dinner was terrific-pumpkin soup, egg dish with chorizo, wine and manchego cheese with quince and bread. Terrific meal.

The hostess was so warm and welcoming. Making sure each guest was cared for.
My room had 3 window/doors with wonderful views. I could see the moon as I fell asleep in my comfy bed. Dinner was delicious and conversation and laughter was abundant. This is definitely an albergue to put on your list for a great evening.

I had a wonderful evening here. The place was clean, bright and airy. The food was good and the hostess was so welcoming, kind and friendly.

I arrived after 3pm and there was still hot water! It had been raining all day and when I got there, Ana gave me some newspaper to put in my shoes.
She cooked a very good meal and the wine was nice as well.

A great place to stay with great comfort and lovely host. The facilities are clean and very well kept. Great view from the rooms. I highly recommend the menu and food with vine from the local town. Thanks for taking care of me!

This is one of the best albergues I’ve stayed in. Villamayor isn’t a popular stop, but it should be. It’s a quiet little village with a little shop and a bar/restaurant. The albergue is very nice and clean. The bunks beds are the sturdy wooden ones that don’t squeak and creak every time you move. Javier is very nice and eager to help with whatever you need. The room I was in had 12 bed and a balcony with an amazing view of the countryside. I highly recommend this albergue!!

Very nice place. Great room with balcony and scenic view. Peaceful. We were only 3 women in the room. Very lovely dinner. Ana and Javier are great hosts. My best stay so far. Thank you very much.

We stayed in the private room with a bunk bed and private bathroom. It was clean. Ana was the hospitaleira, very friendly and helpful. We ate dinner at the local bar, not great. Breakfast was bread and coffee. An ok experience but not so great that I’d choose to stay here again.
