I have stayed in the private rooms on 2 Camino Francés now. Both times have been memorable for the positive experience, from the attentive and warm welcome, to the spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean rooms with just about everything you need.
I highly recommend Gabino Hostel!
Oh and it even has a gorgeous little supermarket and shop!

We stayed here on the 8th of May, 2025. It was a great stay, the beds were fine, if a little creaky, the kitchen was just enough to cook, and a few food items for pilgrim use. The host checking us in was extremely friendly and spoke quite a few different languages.
The shop a few metres up the road was open til 7.30 and had all the basics you need to cook.
Recommend staying here (it did fill up, easy to book on WhatsApp.)

I had a reservation, even checked in. I'm standing in front of the door and he won't let me in. He even came out three times, I asked when can I come in but he didn't have the decency to tell me straight to my face. Only after a text message he said: "Despite my reservation. "too bad unfortunately, I have a day off." I think he's a dickhead, first class🖕🏻

Looks like a great place to stay, but they are closed on Sundays (which is when we would be passing through).

Friendly welcome, good kitchen with coffee and Tea,breakfast for donation. Blankets and all stuff in cotton. and a nice little village.

I would go to Rabanal. It is so much nicer, and offers restaurants for eating. El Ganso is not worth an over nighting.

Highly recommend. Bright, light, a fire in the room to keep you warm and tea and coffee is supplied. Kitchen is good for self catering too.

Clean, comfortable, full equipped. Owner is MOODY. Just me on the second floor (8 beds room) and he refuse me to use lower bed. When I asked him twice, he said: don’t stay here!

Very cute and modern albergue and associated shop. Would highly recommend for a comfortable and quiet stay. Tea/coffee and biscuits provided, plus a basic kitchen.
