Wonderful

I stayed here three years ago and wanted to come back. It’s only gotten better. Comfortable beds and delicious meals. They even pack a lunch for you for 5 euros. This is a real gem in one of my favorite towns.

Great private double

Wonderful stay. The private double on 2nd floor is basic and clean. Has a mini balcony that provides great airflow. Two shared bathrooms on the floor both with showers. Hosts were great. Communal dinner was delicious, served with free wine and liqueur. Worth much more than the 15 euros they charge! For 5 euro, they also prepare a sack breakfast available to take from the communal fridge at 0530. Cash only for food, but they take card for the room. Highly recommend!

Fantastic place

The heat was oppressive, and top floor accommodations were a bit difficult due to the weather, but the place was wonderful otherwise. Hosts were super helpful and accommodating. Would definitely recommend.

Converter left behind (23.06.25)

If anyone finds a white electrical converter in the plug upstairs by one of the beds in front of the railing, please bring it along with you as it was left behind and now I am without a way to charge my device.
The Camino will guide the way so we can connect.
A girl with a heart ❤️ but no device to charge.
Much appreciated.

P.s. best sleep ever by the sound of the rushing river.

Be careful reserving ahead

We reserved a private room months ago and called to confirm 3 days ahead as requested. We were told we were OK when we called, but when we arrived, he had no record of our reservation and no private rooms available. We even showed him where we called his number 3 days ago to confirm. He admitted that was his number, said we must have spoken to someone else. Did that matter? We were very tired, hot, and frustrated. He did try to find us somewhere else to stay, but we found somewhere on our own.

All the right touches for a tired pilgrim!

Stayed June11/25. Comfortable albergue in a pretty part of town with a grocery store minutes away. All the beds are single beds. I was travelling with another pilgrim so stayed in a girls room but with two beds partitioned off so very private with a little balcony to hang clothes. Great kitchen and breakfast in a bag for the next morning. Lovely host! Was very happy there. If you want a big workout, take the alternate route out of town. You climb very high up a mountain. Great views but maybe not the best idea if you are going to O Cebreiro the same day.

Great Albergue

I had the opportunity to stay here last night and what a wonderful experience. No bunk beds. The top floor is one big room with single beds. You have your own outlet, a nightstand and you get real sheets and a pillowcase. My bed was luckily on the water side of the room so all I could hear was the stream babbling out my window all night. After you hand wash your clothing, Natalie, one of the hosts, spun dried my laundry for free to allow for better hang drying. The kitchen had everything you needed and the albergue is located near a restaurant and supermarket. For 4€ they will provide you with a little to-go breakfast bag the night before which includes a yogurt drink, a sandwich, lemon cake and a banana. I would definitely stay here again.

Lots of heart here!

The hosts are so kind here! Very clean albergue with great facilities. I lucked out with a private room that had a balcony facing the river and it was so beautiful. Fully functional kitchen. I don’t know why, but I felt so taken care of by the breakfast to-go back that the hosts prepare and deliver personally. A really lovely and recommended place!

Lovely Accommodation Experience

The owner/host messaged me shortly after my arrival to make sure everything was going well.

We discussed the history of the town and I thoroughly appreciated his kindness during my stay.

See the other reviews, all are spot on, perfect!
