Yesterday walked in wind and rain got totally soaked, and dragged myself to Población de Campos chilled to the bone, where I was received by angels at the hotel — the hotel was full but they opened up the casa rural for me, and then they made me the biggest sopa Castellana, called me Magic (I cried) and then sat me down in front of the estufa in the comedor and told me to rest (I cried again). I love it so much I’m staying another night before walking on to Carrion de los Condes tomorrow.

Beautiful place with lots of seating in the backyard, a washing machine for 5€, and comfortable rooms and beds. Well worth the extra cost involved esp after staying in lots of albergues.

Very nice family hotel. We were offered a complimentary glass of wine when we arrived. The garden was beautiful with a miniature castle. Excellent rooms, for an old married couple. We were given the matrimonial bed (full size). Meal was standard pilgrim meal but it was very relaxing. Highly recommend.
